I read a lot of negativity on Jamal from Clippers fans, but I love the signing. :)

I like Sampson, who works really hard to provide daily video content, but Crawford's play has very little to do with this team's failings. He's a bench guy, who was brought here to score and for the most part he has. That's why he's here. If you look a lot of teams' bench guys, they are going to have warts, too.

This team will win or lose on the play of Towns, Butler and, really, Teague. They decide wins and losses. Most blogs would concentrate on the key guys, but when you need a daily blog you have to look down the bench. And just like everyone else's bench, you will find players who are good at one or two things and bad at other things. Last night we saw what Crawford is good at. Just like we have done at other times this season.

Crawford(whose defense is horrible) is doing exactly what he was brought in to do at a very low price which is get hot from time to time and bring some outside shooting to the team. This is what Thibs has done most of his coaching career, get a very cheap to minimum salary player who is heavily flawed(normally it's been small offensive PGs) but can score to be his off the bench scorer and put decent to good defensive players around him(which Tyus is and that's about it).

I'm very interested how this will work in a few seasons when Thibs will better mold the roster to his liking. Hopefully draft strong defensive players and have them develop an offensive game to complement Minnesota's core players.

Say what you will about Crawford's defense, but we wouldn't have beaten the Lakers the other night without his hot streak at the end of the third. He's capable of carrying us to wins off the bench and that will be so valuable come playoff time.

I love Teague yelling travel from the sideline in that video. KAT looks like he's got it down enough that with some work he could pull it out in game too

He is looking 37 today.
"That's why the last two years weren't guaranteed," Walsh said. "Either way, he knew it could have happened either way."

Towards of the season and tough schedule. You can't fool your body. The problem is that Thibs doesnt understand this and keeps his rotation short

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
