If benching KAT leads to more wins then do it. That’s all that matters, more W’s.
This, Plus KAT NEEDS to get it thru his head that we NEED him to improve on D. Nobody want to bench him, but he is starting to become a liability with his lack of D and his complaining after non calls. He improves on just those 2 areas and the wins will come.
You’d be willing to “bench” Kat knowing it could lead to him leaving Minnesota for nothing?
I don't want to bench him at all, but if benching him gets the message thru his head that it's a team game and he is relied upon to play defense then yes. If asking him to play D, and he pouts like a baby and wants out because of it, do you really want him to be our leader?
Let me be clear.....I am hoping that he matures enough to realize what is EXPECTED out of him, and works on the areas he NEEDS to improve in.
I am not sure he could leave for "nothing." I doubt he leave max money on the table. My guess is, if he was truly unhappy about being benched, Thibs would be the first to go. And then good luck finding a good coach who lets the players do what they want.
