His 3 point shot looks super smooth..I am glad he isn't hesitating to take open 3 shots whenever he is open unlike Teague who frustrates the hell out of me when he refuses to take open 3's

I think he does not care so much for money.
He may resign with less money if he likes it here

Wolves will be capped out next season unless Teague opts-out

I believe Wolves will only have Rose's Early Bird Rights since it will have been two seasons, and that limits what they can offer him to a little more of what the league average salary is, probably would be around $8 mil/yr for first year

Like half the league is projected to have $20 mil+ in cap space

If Rose keeps it up all year, good chance he will get better offers, but at this point in his career that might not be most important thing to him. Hard to say

From what he said early on, money wasn't what was most important. And with his shoe deal, that makes sense. For $8 million or less, that's a bargain if he can consistently do what he's been doing.

He's a special scoring talent still. No doubt about that now. He's also a wise vet defending so he's often in the right spots doing the right thing on that end, even if he's not capable of being a high level defender.

After the last few years he's had, you'd think he'd be very keen to stick around in a place where he's (hopefully) re-launched his career, even if it means taking a bit less.

That being said, would he still feel as comfortable if Thibs was gone?

I doubt he trusts anyone else the way he does Thibs. All bets are off if Thibs is gone.

I believe Wolves will only have Rose's Early Bird Rights since it will have been two seasons, ...

I think it will have been 1.2 seasons, and all we have is non-bird rights.

My interpretation is that the first contract doesn't have to be for a full season and he would have early Bird rights.

That's good. Although I doubt anyone will give him more than MLE.

Thanks Klomp. That looks right.
For example, if a player signs only a 10-day contract in 2017-18 and a regular, one-season contract for 2018-19, then he is an Early Bird free agent in 2019.

Rose was under contract with us more than this, so he's Early Bird.

I don't think Rose is gonna get big contract considering his injury issues...even this season he has missed some 3-4 games already...based on some of his recent interviews, I don't think money is the main priority for him currently...he anyways has that Adidas shoe deal and as long as he is in the league, he will be earning good amount of money from that

Fun fact:

Ricky Rubio in his last season here, with young KAT and Wigs, playing in the corner for half season, with a new scheme, and his shooting shortcomings, had a ORTG 7 points better per 100 than Rose (shooting .450 from 3) or Teague had since the Butler trade.

Rubio had an offensive rating of 115
Rose 120
