I'm excited to watch Doncic for the first time vs legit NBA talent. Was super high on him in the draft

Wonder who's call this is?
- Butler could say I need rest(so he doesn't get hurt and wouldn't get moved).
- Taylor may want to rest him on back to backs against lesser opponents(can't move a hurt player).
- Taylor may want to see the team in an actual game without Butler to see if they just fall apart or continue to do well.
- Thibs... probably wants Butler to play to continue to work on his in game conditioning.

The only thing that bothers me with Dallas for Minnesota is the strong offensive limited center in DeAndre Jordan. Mejri could be a problem too if he gets some minutes.

When I heard he wasn't playing tonight I was thinking trade. This is very unlike Thibs sitting a guy who played 33 minutes last night and rested through the pre season games.

OMG no trade please. I was seeing Butler here for 6 years. It makes some sense to sit Butler tonight against a weak team and he just recently recovering from Surgery.

Resting means he hasn't even traveled with the team to Dallas? Or is he gonna be on bench but just not play any minutes?
