The most damming thing I can say about Thibs is that he is known as a defensive guru, genius, and he continually had one of the worst defenses for our squad while he was here. Now you can say it was the players but he routinely added and subtracted from our roster. The only time we looked really good defensively was after the Sixers trade but then as time went on we lost that too.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

Let's hear your goal posts for what is and what isn't treadmilling then.

Treadmilling to me is being on the edge between making the playoffs or not. The post-Karl to pre-Budenholzer Bucks would be an example of a treadmilling team. 7 playoffs in 15 years, but never more than 46 wins and never really bottomed out either.

I really don't see the difference. 46 wins...50 wins... The same end results, breaking into the playoffs most years but not being able to reach finals is my wider gauge for it.

But if 7 playoff appearances in 15 years is the going rate for treadmilling people around here need to stop worrying about it. it's going to take another 15 years before you can even gauge if thye've reached that level. People here think even one season of tipping a toe in the playoffs will kill their awesome annual draft results and ruin the franchise because it treadmilling. Not quite. A team has to be getting in the playoffs regularly and not doing enough with all the chances at it. For me that fits.

It’s not that hard to do in the east.

  If it was hard to do I wouldn't have said he could do it. However, considering how bad the Knicks have been for how long it would be a pretty big accomplishment to get them back in the playoffs.

Aaron Gordon, Juancho and Jarred Vanderbilt are good combination of ballhandling, shooting, rebounding, passing and potential.
