As a cancer survivor myself, I applaud her courage to make it through that most difficult of times.

Tyler Herro may be that dude! Jimmy Butler has already gone on to praise his work ethic which we know that's a hard compliment to come by.

This might be one of the best draft classes in years!

I'm watching the Zions vs The Bulls game on ESPN tonight and I'm going on record that anybody picking anybody other than Zion for RoY this year is going to end up looking foolish at the end of the season. Klomp watch again and I think you will be impressed and I think he does have high level NBA skills.

Zion could be 25 feet away from the basket, but if his defender lets up for a millisecond Zion blows by him to the rim.

OK a couple flaws tonight. Once Zion closed far too aggressively on D and ran by his man allowing an easy pass for a layup. Then got an O Board and was fouled, but missed both attempts. He's 4-6 for the night and will struggle to keep his FT% above 70.

More to like. He's excellent with both hands.

Hall of fame unless injury or weight problems take him down.

I'm still not sold. He's impressive for sure but I want to see what he does when teams adjust to him,

The Bandwagon is going to get real crowded real soon. Won't be room for you to jump on if you wait any longer.

Mediocre. Satoransky has been superb. After a slow Start LaVine has turned it on for 28 points. Porter and Markkanen have looked very good also.

I've never denied that he is physically impressive and athletically gifted. My questions all surround his basketball ability.

Zion will be ROTY, hands down. Such a talented kid with even more potential. Needs FT work though....

Good Dribbler, good passer, good instincts, good with both hands, good touch, good body control, and put that together with his physical impressiveness and his athletic gifts you have a likely spectacular player. IMO it's just a question of when he becomes top ten and not if.

You might be right. I guess I've come at it with the viewpoint you need to be elite in a basketball skill in order to be an elite basketball player.

https://sports.yahoo.com/sources-nba-teams-planning-for-scenario-in-which-salary-cap-would-drop-due-to-situation-with-china-003037770.html

At least five NBA teams are having their salary cap personnel plan for a scenario in which the cap for the 2020-21 season could drop between 10 and 15 percent due to the current situation between the NBA and China, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

This is part of the teams’ regular seasonal planning, but "it's like the cap spike, but opposite,” a league source told Yahoo Sports. “After all the money everyone spent last summer, this would have a major impact on all of us."

Last month, the NBA released an updated cap projection of $116 million for the 2020-21 season. That projection is nearly $7 million higher than the figure of just over $109 million for the current season.

A drop of 10 to 15 percent would be somewhere between $11.6 million and $17.4 million off the current projection. A drop in the cap would also impact the starting figures for maximum salary contracts, which range from 25 to 30 to 35 percent of the cap. It would also impact various exceptions and the rookie scale contracts, which rise or fall by the same percentage as the cap does.

To sum up: it might trigger a lot of things next offseason. However it is interesting how it will affect us, since Rosas tried to save as much as possible for next offseason, when Teague contract expires and Dieng contract becomes expiring. Tyus contract is still a question to me, but it might change if cap drops.

I don't know if he has any one skill that he is elite in. Nice ball handler, but elite no. Nice passer, but elite no. I'm not a brilliant defensive basketball mind, but he may already be an elite defender. Is physical ability a skill? He has elite physical ability. He's great at attacking the rim on the dribble or as the recipient of passes. His shot is as I understand it is only reliable to 15 feet, but he went 12/13 in his last game so I'm not too concerned with his shot. Zion is a phenom. Based on statistics he is the best college player ever entering the league. LeBron only had HS stats and they weren't keeping those kind of stats in Wilt Chamberlin's time. It's not about one elite skill it's about the total package. Zion just might live up to the hype.
