From the time he first joined us, Cov changed our team for the better. He brought some of the best defense we have seen in a Timberwolves uniform. Even though he has only been with us a short time, I think he had a positive impact on the team. I rarely saw him complain or get too down. He came to play every night and ultimately I think we asked him to do too much this season.
He should fit in really well in Houston, he's exactly the kind of player a contending team needs to get them over the hump Just too bad we couldn't make it happen here.
Godspeed Sir Covington!

Sad to see him go but at least he gets to play meaningful basketball this season.

A pro's pro through and through; 1st Team All NBA Defense says it all.
ETA: Possibly the best wing defender in franchise history.

I would add that he is also a very correct and goodmanner guy. He never tried to irritate the opponents... he always helped opponents to get up if they fall down during games etc.
It's really sad to see him go.

Seems like a really nice guy and I wish him nothing but the best, but tbh he is a worse player than I've expected.

He was great for the couple weeks honeymoon after the Butler trade. Even showed some signs of being able to lead the kids a little bit there. Then he took the rest of the season off to contemplate having a knee scoped. Then he agreed to play Center this season where Towns couldn't. I wasn't too happy about that. Nor his mostly backseat role this season.
Seems like a good person, hard working player. I was buffaloood though by that initial honeymoon period.

Thanks Cov! He had many excellent 3 pt shooting nights. But he had a lot of brick shooting as well.

hahaha - ya ... but he'll prolly light it up for Houston knowing our luck

Same. Sucks we didn’t have a better team for him mold into but his role here was too big. Should be a nice option behind Harden/RW and EG but man... that team is short. He’s gonna be stuck guarding 4s and sometimes 5s now
