No.

There's no one worth tanking for this year. We need to start winning, now, start forming good habits and getting some momentum going into next season.

don't know what to make of this game. most unfortunate loss. But we're still tanking, right? KAT isn't really injured but Ryan figured that we'd win that game at full strenght so KAT had to sit out?

Oh, yeah. I expect that next few months this draft hype will only increase. Rosas could could definitely use this pick in trade negotiations.

And we can lose every single game the rest of the season and wind up with the 7th or 8th pick.

If it happens, great. But there's no point in aiming for it. Not with these lottery odds.

I just don’t agree there’s no point in gaining momentum for next season, 1/3 the team will be brand new at the start of next season. I fully expect rosas to be very active on draft night.

This roster has been together like 3 games and 3 practices, played basically 3 rookies in Culver, Naz and McLaughlin, miss his best player and was screwed by the refs. I won't be harsh on them.

Yeah, thank you, I am aware of it. I think we need to kind of push this roster to players limits in order to understand how they fit each other and how they fit long term vision. It is mostly about Juancho, Beasley, Vanderbilt, Spellman, ML, Culver, Nowell, Reid. I doubt it will correlate with wins this season anyway. It also very possible that Rosas will change again half of the roster by the beginning of next season.

It's too bad that Herni doesn't have a good touch at the rim. His pump fake is from hell, everybody's falling for it, but he can't convert on the drives.

I like Reid getting more minutes, he's a better screener that KAT and I see more potential on defense than I initially thought.

Imagine if the Clippers shared this mindset after trading away Harris and some vets last year. The entire league may be looking different.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

Save the wins for teams like the Clippers

We'll just draft another project or trade it for Gordon.

I'm just happy we have some shooters on the team for once. That's something to work with. Something to watch. Before the trades happened I was already done watching for the season.

Dude nobody in the league would give up a lottery pick for Gordon.

Mark my words, when Orlando trades him, it will be for an expiring plus a late first.

If you are reading around here you might find 5 guys repeatedly posting about trading a FRP and two players for Gordon for the past few days. They believe it. I believe it's possible because this team can amaze that way. I remember a FRP traded for Adreian Payne(2018 pick). Hoping Rosas isn't trying that hard.

First game together was special anyway.

Then they start making decisions and muck it all up. :D

The refs seem insistant on not letting the Wolves flip the season script, I'll say that. But this is probably what many expected. They tried to bring in fans to get excited and this was the effort and skills they were presented. What can you do.

What is the story on Towns being out? I never did catch that.

Payne was traded during his rookie yeah. I don't see the similarities.

26 times has a Timberwolves player recorded 25+ points, 10+ assists and 5+ rebounds in a game, with Russell joining the list last night (his fifth of career). Only five different players have recorded multiple such games in a Timberwolves uniform.

Steph Curry has 29 career games with that statline. James Harden has 98. Russell Westbrook has 117.

Who are the other Wolves to do so? I have a few guesses but I'm curious.

ESPOMAN wrote:Really bad ending. I like Beasley and Russell a lot. They do settle for some tough shots though. I felt like the timeout when the lead was already lost to be too late. I think they'll be better after the ASB when everyone has more practices and KAT will be back.

The offense really broke down in the second half and the Wolves ended up with way too many hero ball possessions where guys forced up poor shots.

Yea we could use some more shot creators. KAT will help a lot just being there absorbing attention. We have the skeleton of the team we want to be IMO. These last 30 games are great for further evaluation and then this summer Rosas can make more moves. I think we have a good chance at fielding a playoff level team next season. Biggest concern is the west jumping up again, next season may be one where you need close to 50 wins just to get the 8th seed.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.
