We're gonna stick JJ on Zion and shut him down. However, I don't see us shutting anybody else down. Should be a high scoring affair.

With KM doubtful with an ankle sprain we better use JN for at least 15 minutes. End of season tanking is about Player development.

Reid and JJ will undoubtedly have 2 early ticky tack fouls. Springing Pelicans into early lead, trail by 10+ for three quarters. Either a comeback of 3s erupt for a win, or it doesn't, and the game gets no more interesting than that. NBA storylines lately.

Wolves guards were getting zero FTs last game. Only thing I'm interested in is if that script flips this game.

Last week against the pels was the first time we played good small ball defense. The swarming technique that Houston uses is the only way to contain the larger players. What is so interesting about this defensive scheme is you are daring them to shoot 3s on you. Your philosophy is you can outshoot them from deep and keep them out of the paint. Overall this is a losing strategy (as Houston will find out in the playoffs,) but then again so is small ball. I think JJ will stay out of foul trouble, but hernangomez is a different story.

I'm not going to be happy with anything less than 30 minutes and 30 points.

Naz Reid has nice hands defensively. That could be his thing.

Doubt it. Also, Martin's role has been playing SF and helping with size lately. This idea that his minutes free up time for Nowell seems a little disengenuos to me. This maybe only helps Nowell's chances for more time as an overall rotations-wise thing. Culver and Okogie's time stil rules all. Their time likely increases. This is Ryan ball.

Really bad start. Naz is having a very rough game on offense so far. His block on ZIon was cool though.

I think I already posted this lot of times over last few weeks but god this interior defense is absolutely horrific. KAT has some negative points as a defender but despite that he is still a big upgrade over the other options Wolves have when it comes to interior defense

Beeas and Okogie already having FT shots and a couple makes is different. 1 of 6 from 3 isn't helpful tho.

Early rotaton change with bench on their starters for a bit there, didn't seem to work. Let's see if it evens out.

36 allowed in Q1. That's only the typical 144 pace of late.

Unbelievable how poorly Naz is shooting at the rim lately
