Always interesting to look back.

When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

The video neglected some key details.

1. The Joe smith disaster was tied to KG’s desire to play with Smith.

2. KGs massive contracts made it next to impossible for the wolves to find the supporting cast KG needed.

3. Flip Saunders was overrated as a coach.

4. Except for the Wolves drafting KG, there are no stand out picks during KGs time with the wolves.

Easy to look back and say what if, but this was an institutional failure at every level from the owner to the end of the bench.

Numbers 1 and 2 do sound like primary issues. Possibly #3 as well since they had some really good players along with KG at times. Bricking most draft choices and then losing multiple firsts during the prime of his time here probably was enough to hold it all back just enough. Though they made some waves and competed otherwise.

'Get what you can while you can' may be wise, but it's not on the same wavelength of building better teams to win it all. There was obvious clashes over what was left available to the other good players.
