You see your bias here?

He is innocent until he is proven guilty, so let's start from there.

No charges have been filed and it seems unlikely there will be any, so... he's innocent.

This whole "but if this person did x y z" stuff if a massive waste of time, because it doesn't deal in reality, just what if's.

Nobody is innocent until proven guilty. They're guilty if they're guilty whether it's proven or not. At this point I don't know if he's guilty of anything. That is why I say the if's. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. That is not the same as having 100% faith in his innocence. I don't know one way or the other. There is definitely cause for suspicion. If I were on a jury right now with the information I have I would find him not guilty. I would not find him innocent and that is not how court cases are judged. People are either guilty or not guilty.

But people are never found innocent in the court. They are found not (proven to be) guilty (beyond a reasonable doubt). A person is guilty of whatever they did whether it's proven or not.

Dewey...last time I checked, social media didn’t exist back in 1776. We live in a whole new world where people don’t allow the truth to get in their way of passing judgement.

Slim if you're referring to me passing judgment I specifically haven't. I have made no judgment of Beasley's guilt or innocence. I'm still open to both possibilities.

It was once upon a time.

Now you're guilty until you prove your innocence.

I dont give a damn at all about a weed related charge.

I also dont really give a damn about a gun being found unregistered in a time where our right is in jeapordy.

Not at all...it was a direct response to Dewey but wasn’t meant as a personal attack towards him, either. Just a personal observation.

Not Beasley first time in trouble with his lady. Last year fought in Denver Hotel lobby vs Broncos Strong Safety over his woman

Former Denver Broncos safety Su’a Cravens and Denver Nuggets guard Malik Beasley brawled in an apartment lobby over an Instagram model, new video shows.

The footage, obtained by TMZ Sports, shows a shirtless Beasley pacing in the lobby of an upscale Denver apartment building on August 9 before model Montana Yao — the mother of Beasley’s son — walks past another man talking to the NBA star and appears to shove him before storming off.

Beasley continues to pace in the lobby until he sees NFL star Cravens walk in — at which point he attacks the defensive back with a flurry of punches. The two athletes scrapped until Yao and a man with Beasley at the time separated them, video shows.

At one point, Yao threw herself to the floor and appeared to sob during the heated confrontation. Cravens, however, was unmoved and challenged Beasley to keep the fight going by suggesting that the pair “step outside,” TMZ Sports reports.

Beasley is then seen exiting the lobby, but it’s unclear if the brawl continued. Cravens later taunted the NBA guard on social media, claiming he got the best of Beasley during the dust-up.

“I just had to beat a n**** a** that just tried me,” Cravens said, still wearing the same outfit as he did during the fight.

“Scratched my face, but I f***ed that n**** up, ol’ b**** a** n****.”

Police did not respond to the apartment building after the fight, TMZ Sports reports.

There's a fifth degree!?!

I was also wrong about there not being upcoming charges apparently.

Time to retire from Bird Law.

EDIT: Yeesh, he's f'd. I totally got this one wrong, but I do think it's best to wait for this sort of data to make a judgement.

You can weasel out of a fifth degree if it is the only charge, it is the threat of violence that completely **** him.

What the hell was he thinking walking out there with his rifle? :nonono: That's just incredibly stupid on the scenario laid out. Who did he think was in that car? Was he on alert from some earlier incident? I just can't fathom why you would waltz out of your house, with a gun, and point it at someone telling them to leave like that out of nowhere. Incredibly asinine move. He very well may have cost himself big.

I thought that in USA if someone was in your property you could pointed him with a gun to obligate him to go...

Given he apparently had over a pound of dope , if that gets you a fifth degree charge , how much do you need for a first degree one?

Even if we decide we don’t want a player that points a rifle at Minnesota families, I think we still need to find him a new home in a sign and trade, even if we get nothing in the deal.

Beasley doesn’t just represent a player for us, but his Bird rights also provide a chance to add a piece of salary that we can use to match in future trades.
