I believe Baynes is one of the best FAs on the market. Just got stuck playing behind a young superstar. I can't say if he can play the PF or not, but he's extremely active and pretty mobile. He can shoot the three and FTs at a good percent. If we could get him for the MLE that IMO would be a bargain, but I doubt we can.

I kept an eye on PHX last year...Rubio & Baynes were impact players on that squad.

I'd love Baynes here if he can play PF, he brings toughness and would be a good vet that brings a winning attitude. His biggest thing is his health...

I think Millsap is a perfect signing for the Wolves. Veteran leadership and winning culture is no small thing. Ideally, if you sign him for 2 years McDaniels is ready to step in after that.

Rubio - McLaughlin
D Lo - Edwards/Okogie/Culver - Martin
Beasley - Edwards/Okogie/Culver - Layman - Martin
Millsap - Jauncho - Layman - Vanderbilt
Towns - Naz (would rather upgrade to a springy defensive rim protector here) - Vanderbilt (honestly I may want to start Vanderbilt at backup C)

I think I want Edwards to start as the 6th man and run offense through him. Obviously, ideally we’re keeping one of Beasley/D Lo/Towns on the floor at all times as well also.

But even if you don’t stagger lineups, I really like the idea of that second unit compared to some others posted:

McLaughlin
Okogie
Edwards
Jauncho
Naz

That seems like a really good offensive lineup, with some weaknesses defensively but that’s kind of what we’re dealing with.

Well so much for covid economy. Some really suspect contracts out there as usual for role players.

Hou with a really nice move turning the ariza to DET draft day deal into a S/T for Wood.

Adams to NO is interesting. Nothing on the salary going back to OKC at this point, but must be Bledsoe or Redick.
If NO is dumping Bledsoe's contract to OKC, that is a really nice deal for them.

It's probably going to be embarrassing this year for all the teams OKC has a better record than after dumping so many players for picks.

Fox getting the 5 year max from SAC. Wouldn't want that contract.

So funny how Jeff Teague is getting no action...dude has been pure ass cheeks and I think teams will have him as a last resort signing

Baynes is very prone to injury and can't really play serious minutes because of it. Otherwise he's awesome. And he's strictly a C in today's NBA though he played some PF for his national team before.

I could see the Clippers desperation signing him if they flop on Rondo, which wouldn’t end up being the worst situation in history.

JaMychal Green being signed by them might just be the Jerami Grant replacement for them? I would guess Millsap will re-up with them most likely. But I really wish he dont, he would be perfect for us.

Rondo offers elite decision making and passing, some defense and surprisingly 3pt shooting. Teague is washed up, can't impact the game, he is unplayable in playoffs. Younger Reggie Jackson was no factor for LAC, don't see Teague playing better.

I guess Jae wont return in MIA. I think Harkless would agree to sign in MIN for something like 15mil/3yrs.

Good for Kris... Shooters get paid but elite defenders also get paid (not as much as shooters)

Tough pill to swallow giving a point guard millions of dollars when you know he doesn’t know how to count backwards once the shot clock hits 5 seconds

I wonder if we were one of the more lucrative deals. He flourished in Vanterpool’s defensive scheme and we desperately need a combo forward.

Life is good for the Heat right now. Still think it's wild how quickly they turned that team around, now they are a destination again.
