As you can see, too many guards (with quality) and not so much bigs/wings...
Who goes and who's coming back?
Expecting some trades to happen?
Who should be our FA targets now?
MLE - $9.2M
BAE - $3.6M

Firstly, Evans and Spellman are probably gone. McDaniels might be G League with Nowell. I really think they move Okogie for a future pick or for a PF type they want to take a flier on. I hope they re-sign Beasley and bring him off the bench.

I like Vanderbilt as a potential starting PF down the road. Maybe McDaniels fulfills his promise at PF as well. Layman can swing SF/PF.

This can be one exciting group!

They will trade Culver before they trade Okogie. He's both a worse player, especially as role player, and likely has more trade value at this point given his draft spot.

FA
Marvin Williams or JaMychal Green, would guess it would take MLE (maybe not full) $$ to come to MN instead of a better team
Semi Ojeleye- BAE

trade
Kevin Know- played poorly so far, but was a project pick, maybe pressure of being out of NY would help
DJ Wilson- hasn't got much of an opportunity being on such a good team

Ersan İlyasova was waived by Mil, would be another realistic "big"

Regarding bigs we drafted three relatively big players yesterday. Edwards a 6'6" 230 pound wing SG/SF, Bolmaro a 6'7" 200 pound point forward, and McDaniel a 6'10" 200 pound PF. Get them on a training program to pack some muscle and weight on. We didn't neglect the forward positions in this draft. Far from it. Rumor has it Vanderbilt is emerging. Juancho should be back. Naz is coming on. We will be OK.

We need a forward BAD, what are our options?

Post#64 » by theGreatRC » Thu Nov 19, 2020 9:35 pm

We have two good point guards, a promising SG/SF prospect, star Center and a potential hole at PF(even small forward)

I'm assuming Ricky and DLO start together in the back court, but if they don't, what are our options for SF/PF?

If we assume Ricky and DLO start together, what are our options for PF?

Who's out there realistically that we can get? We don't have many assets

We started a 6'4 shooting guard at SF, anything is possible

I’d use the MLE on Jaymycal Green. Dude is tough, rebounds, and defends

I also love Green, but he has said he loves the Clippers. I'm guessing he opted out to get a raise from LAC.

Give Juancho a chance, he never got a chance to really play along side Kat.

Millsap is kind of over the hill, lets sign someone young that can thrive here like Beasley did (on the court anyway)

Juancho ain’t starting material. Can’t defend and not tough enough. Would pay him 3-4 million tops.

This team needs a dog, someone who plays with and edge and can be an enforcer.
