Ashton Hagans

Hagans is a high motor defensive player with good passing, but can't shoot..Reminds me of a potential Pat Beverly type player...for the second year in a row, i'm liking Rosas' undrafted rookie signings. Naz Reid was a good signing

If he can resemble Patrick Beverly at all he was a great UDFA signing.

I like it ... Could be a real value in terms of depth and we know defense is a team need. I view him as Beasley’s half-brother but from different parents on another planet.

Nice to hear it. It annoyed the heck out of me last year when Coby White went on his scoring spree late in the season last year. Hopefully we didn't blow that one taking Culver instead.

Kind of a Norris Cole/Nick Calathas hybrid.

As a player, Ashton Hagans plays a lot like Norris Cole and Nick Calathas. Defensively he is like both (slightly more in the Norris Cole mold), while offensively he attacks like Norris Cole, but is a bit more responsible of a passer like Nick Calathas.

I've been told lately steals don't matter to defense. Cross that game off the list.

Is this the Thybulle of this year?

That was a special possession when he overshoots a first steal attempt and seems to tweak and ankle but in less then a couple seconds he's already walked it off and stealing the ball again in the same possession. Voice didn't even get done talking about the ankle tweak and he's got the ball already. Impressive ability to see where the ball is heading.

Dump Jmac and give this kid the 3rd minutes. Looks like it would be fun.

Saw on Twitter that he violated COVID rules in the G League. Fairly safe way to get yourself waived off a 2-way.

He couldn't shoot like the Patrick Beverly claim anyway. That stealing vision though seemed like something on a high end you could point to. Another Rosas choice bites the dust.

Undrafted FA two way isn’t much of a choice. Naz was undrafted and signed to the main roster. Two way guys almost never make the team long term.

With Rosas down at the G League showcase I expect them to pick someone in the next couple of days. It doesn't have to be someone from the Iowa Wolves. They just need someone who isn't on a NBA contract right now.

I'd be trying to get Justin Patton to sign Minnesota's second two-way. The Wolves need size and I always liked Patton's game. I'd think it would be somewhat attractive for Patton as well since the Wolves are thin in terms of center depth.
