Towns trade floated on Bleacher!

Post#1 » by Chello1 » Sat Jan 23, 2021 4:00 am

Golden State Warriors Get: Karl-Anthony Towns

Minnesota Timberwolves Get: James Wiseman, Kelly Oubre Jr., Eric Paschall, their own 2021 first-round pick back, top-three-protected first-round pick in 2026

James Wiseman is a wildly intriguing prospect who projects to be a much better defender than Karl-Anthony Towns,

Not enough for me but a place I would start.....

Flip wiseman to Memphis, rather get Evan Mobley as center of the future over Overated Wiseman.

Trading Towns for 6 uppercuts to the balls by Tyson Fury is a better trade for us

it means overall we traded Towns/Wiggins for D'lo, Eric Pashall, Pick 2 and expiring Kelly, Which would be overall be possibly the **** trade in history

Well you are forgetting two first round picks. One being Wolves 1st, which is the best asset/1st in NBA owed another team. And Warriors 1st 6 drafts away, which has a good chance to be quality. Warriors core of Curry and Kay would be aged out and Towns/Wiggins could be gone (draft is after current contracts come due).

That is a good offer. Throw in a few pick swaps and Wolves would be dumb not to take that deal.

Any trade with GSW has to include their unprotected 2021, Wiseman and our 2021 Pick back. The best offensive C in the league with a defensive game showing much promise this year, under contract control, demands value and an overpay.

It's pointless to even consider a trade for Towns until the lottery is set and we know who has the top 3 picks. It's also pointless to consider trading him until we have competent management

This. It cannot be Rosas that makes this deal. It has to be new owner/mgmt.

I agree with you and Norseman 100%...no way should Rosas be allowed to even smell such a trade process. First Kahn and now Rosas...what did Wolves fans do to deserve such incompetence.

I am more then willing to trade Towns But more interested in trying to trade for Jaylen Brown or John Collins, heck maybe even Clint Capela plus additional assets.

Just don't see Towns/Russell leading us anywhere meaningful, think our ceiling is bottom playoff team at best with no real shot at being a title contender.

First off .. Bleacher Report. Yuck.

Second .. I understand how desperate fans want change, and we really only have one valuable trade piece. However, we have Towns here, committed to the franchise, and he chose to take a five year deal with surprisingly, no player option at the end, Finding a superstar is the hardest part of winning championships. Our chance to get another Towns with lottery picks and Wiseman is very low.

Third .. we send out Towns and keep Russell?

Fourth .. people here and nationally continue to underestimate Towns. They focus on defense where he’s been bad (but he’s looked good this season, and is #2 in the nba in blocks per game!), but they just don’t realize how elite Towns is offensively. Here’s the list of active players who have a higher TS%

DeAndre Jordan, Steph Curry.

I dismiss Jordan, who can’t create and his numbers are based on others. Right now, Steph barely edges Towns. Look who isn’t better than Towns offensively. Harden. Durant. Giannis. LeBron. Lillard. And because Towns is a big, he might be an even bigger problem for opposing coaches.

People need to start appreciating KAT. If his defense is just average, he becomes a top five player in this league. And WE need to appreciate him, because he’s the only one of those five that would consider playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

It'd be a borderline trade.

First you give your first round to trade Wiggins for Russell who is performing worse than Wiggins almost ever.

Second you select Edwards instead of Wiseman and Edwards is doing really bad.

So you trade Towns for Oubre, Paschall and a first round pick? Don't give me that, if that trade is done, Rosas would make Kahn GM of the year.
