Some positive to take away like Edwards having a good game but yea, we still got ways to go. We still don't have an established identity and don't have the poise of more teams. We battled through and the Hornets aren't an easy out, right now I don't think there is a team in the league we can confidently beat and the first step to improving is at least getting to that level.

Once again being young and not having enough shooters hurt. Nowell was AWOL, Reid got cooked and couldn't step up big, and Rubio and Okogie can't score.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

I'm not gonna go into all the good, the bad and the meh....
It was actually a pretty fun game to watch from an entertainment stand point but I just have 1 question...

Why in the he!! does Ryan play both Rubio and Okogie at the same time during crunch time in a very tight, back and forth game???
Seriously, it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever unless the tank is in. Just horrible rotations/coaching.

That's all I got for now. I'm just going to try and not get too aggravated anymore about wins and losses since our wonderful coach/s don't seem to mind. I'm just gonna watch all of our young kids develop and try to enjoy the action a little more.

Pisses me off that we can't see DLO/KAT more. KAT is the reason DLO works here, because he is a shot maker and can pass.

DLO as the #1 option isn't a good idea, but DLO spreading the floor with KAT/Beas as elite shooters needs to be seen more. I guess we won't see him til after we get back since he isn't on the road trip.

As for the game, Ant & Mclaughlin played well, KAT looked really rusty aside from his back to back 3s in the 4th...everyone else besides Beasley in the first half wasn't good.

I thought the Mclaughlin-Beasley-Nowell-Mcdaniels-Naz lineup was pretty fun. Mclaughlin pushing tempo with the rare sight of 5 shooters on the floor. I really don't get why Mclaughlin can't play over Ricky at this point when he's objectively been better than him so far, and the Russell-McLaughlin 2 PG lineup was actually pretty solid last season. Acquiring Ricky is looking like a big L for Rosas.

I know Okogie is the popular guy to hate right now but I thought he made some winning plays on defense tonight. Although he probably can't close games anymore, they could still use his execution on a team full of defensively-challenged guys.

Overall nice games from KAT, Ant and Malik, and enough overall competence to not be too mad at. Once those 3 and Russell get comfortable playing together, that offense could be pretty potent.

Wow. Dude is already being used above his skill level and he wants more?????

Not a good sign that the culture is in a good place right now. Saunders needs to be an assistant with a more experienced coach creating a more accountability driven culture for the Wolves right now.

Beasley needed to be fed a lot more in more the 2nd and 3rd quarters. They keep the ball away from the hot hand far too often. Nowell being ice cold should have led to Layman filling in. Ryan is the worst coach Possible for this team now. I was praying for Thibs to be fired because I thought it couldn’t get worse, yet it did. Also, Ricky is unplayable right now. For every good decision he will make 4 bad ones. His defense is plain awful, and his passing is overrated.

Need to see DLo with KAT now. Last thing to make judgement on Ryan.

Best:

Game threads and post game threads are getting much shorter. Means something should happen soon. A change. Which means when you are the worst team in NBA, that is positive.

Worst:

The rock bottom gets more bottom. And as any Wolves fan knows, true rock bottom is on draft lotto day. As we all hold are breath while being bottom 3 team and praying 1st doesn’t go to Warriors.

Meh:

We are one game closer to new coach.

Positive:

Ball did not light up Edwards. Difference was meh. So by Wolves standards...that is a positive.

Malik Beasley has been the only constant on this roster.

He's earning that contract.

Cunningham, Ant, McDaniels will be a nice core.
I really like Suggs but Cunningham has that flash that the wolves desperatly need (lamelo had it too) and they won’t pass that again.

One good thing is that Edwards is improving rapidly right now, but damn Ball is such an impactful player already.
another good thing is that KAT is back of course, we surely missed him.

now for the bad. WHY ON EARTH IS RYAN STILL INSISTING ON PLAYING OKOGIE?
I mean seriously. He offense is worse than Andre Robersen's and his defense is overrated. He dies on every screen and well, HAS TO PLAY POWER FORWARD.

It really seems we need to pray for our 40% chance to get a top 3 pick or this was one of the most wasted seasons in recent history.

Late in the game, the ball gets to Rubio semi-open at the 3 point line. Rubio right now doesn't want anything to do with shooting there, but hey!! somebody is wide open in the corner! Rubio passes the ball to that wide open guy...who happens to be Josh Okogie. Terrible shot, terrible clank. Why? Ryan? How long is it going to take for him to get his head out of his ***?

On another note, Hornets took 19 free throws and made all of them. Our bench took 8 and made 2.
