If there is most people wouldn’t venture much past the second page. Maybe a pinned General Wolves News thread would be of value?

I don’t understand why there are postgame threads in addition to the game thread, so why not have pregame game threads too?

I don’t understand why there are postgame threads in addition to the game thread, so why not have pregame game threads too?

I couldn’t figure that out either. Didn’t use to be that way. It really just mucks things up as people end up posting in both the game thread and the “post game thread” after games anyway.

But of course his shot isn’t the problem. huh? you'd rather him be discouraged and get down on his jumpshot? I don't see arrogance in that little snip at all.

Denial of seeing something doesn't mean it isn't there moss-is-1. The coach already spoke in public about how he was going to convey to the kid that he's giving him a ratio to target for the good of the team and the kid. Yet Edwards is now quoted saying he's going to make a judgement call on his own when he feels his shot is good to go and start peppering again. What will he use to gauge that judgement? One make, two? Then it's reign fire from anywhere time? Because that is how he has seemed most games.

The point is to teach him he is playing on a team and that there is more then one way for him to be effective in the team. When he's on the floor with players with more consistent shooting then his the best way to help the team is to attack the basket more unless he's handed a wide open shot. Until he gets more consistent as a shooter that's probably what should always be the case. Nothing will make him more confident as a shooter and player than choosing good shots and making the shots, feeding others when he doesn't have a good shot and it leading to wins.

Well said, but I want to add one thing. When a player says publicly I will listen to coach for now, but then I will show him how wrong he is, that is a terrible attitude both for the locker room and the future of the player. At 19 you listen to your coach and you do what you can to help the team. When you say I will do what I am told “for now” and then do it my way later, that is a very bad sign. Just like a player saying my true love is football and Basketball is just my job, right before the draft. Attitude matters, commitment matters.

The fact that Minnesota has made no attempt to sign someone to that 15th spot even with COVID and injuries tells me that they are VERY CONFIDENT that a trade will be made by the 25th. If they were standing pat, they would at least bring in a PG on a 10-day to help out.

They could also sign a G league PG to a two way. I think they want to try Edwards at PG, or Nowell.

Sadly, I feel like Finch may have to use the elementary green-yellow-red light rule when it comes to shooting. KAT having the only green light. The others are yellow or red - meaning the ball has to go through KAT’s hands or they receive direct pass resulting in a backdoor layup/lob, or transition fast-break layup. We cannot continue chucking like it’s a statistical advantage to have high attempts - regardless makes. The game has some art to it and we need to focus on triangles ... left, right, inside out, and swing pass with purpose.
