Who won't be on the team in a week?

Post#1 » by Klomp » Fri Mar 19, 2021 1:19 am

We're a week out from the 25th, what's your list?

I've got...
Ed Davis
Josh Okogie
Jarrett Culver
Jarred Vanderbilt

Davis
Beasley
jauncho
vanderbilt
Layman

I think Rosas will give Culver a shot to recoup some value under the new coach and then trade him on draft night.

I'm guessing Culver and Juancho are being shopped hard.

I'm guessing teams are asking for Beasley and McDaniels.

I don't think Edwards is off the table but we will have to be getting a nice piece.

I think its not out of the question we stand pat and play the season out and wait until the off-season to make a big move.

I'm going with Beasley. I think he got Wally Pipped. Ant's best position is the two. Nowell is a solid back-up guard and unlike Ryan I think Finch wants size at the forward positions. Every day I change my mind about what would be the most likely deal. Now, I'm going with Beasley to the Knicks for draft picks and room under the tax for this year and next.

The guys that aren’t being shopped hard is a shorter list. KAT, DLo, Ant

If I had to make a prediction of players with a greater than 30% chance of being traded, my list would be

Ed Davis
Ricky Rubio
One of Okogie or Culver .. I’ll say Okogie

I think Beasley goes. Can’t start Beasley and DLo together defensively and Ant is a SG. With DLo back, it’ll help offset the lose of Beasley’s shooting. Nowell gets more minutes off bench.

I’m guessing Beasley, Juancho, Culver go. My best guess is Gordon finally becomes a Wolf. Maybe the other two go in different deals.

I think Beasley has the most trade value and a contract big enough to get us a good player by himself.

I will say I expect us to make a trade for Gordon (I want Collins) and it'll be Nowell/Culver/Juancho for Gordon/filler

Wolves get their PF for next year & Magic get an offensive 2 guard on a cheap contract & a gamble in Culver like the gamble they took on Markelle

Beasley became eminently more tradeable with the emergence of Nowell and Edwards while he was out.

Beasley is such a useful player for us..doesn't need the ball and has such a quick stroke..i'd rather give up Nowell in a trade

If there is a big move I'm guessing Beasley is gone. Without a big move, I'd guess one of Layman/Juancho, Davis (if anyone wants him), and possibly Culver (if there is a decent offer) get moved. I expect to see Russell, Edwards, Towns, Rubio, Okogie, Nowell, McDaniels, Vanderbilt, and Reid staying put.

Layman and Ricky seem most likely. Vando or Juancho as well.

Package a combo of Beasley, Culver, Vando, Juancho, Layman for Aaron Gordon and we are a playoff team.

Woj says John Collins is off the block because the Hawks are 6-0 since Nate McDowells took over.

Beasley has more value than Aaron Gordon. Beasley is a better player and has more years left on a more team friendly contract so I’d expect Orlando to take on Jauncho and send a second round pick at the very least.

I thought (and hoped, the fit is still not there long term) it'd be Rubio, but the way Edwards is playing (it's a very small sample and there are still too many bad decisions and terrible defense, but you can't deny he's attacking the basket more often and he has been way more effective on these 5 games after the break) I think Beasley could be the one on the move, so:

Beasley
Culver / Okogie
Davis

Beasley is a great piece for any team. We should keep him and play him and Edwards together, unless there's a really favorable trade for us, like the Collins one. Guys like Gordon are not good enough to warrant giving up on Beasley with the great value contract we signed him to. If we wanna win next season, we don't fix what ain't broken and keep Beasley.

I would love Ricky shiped to a playoff team, but after all the praise Ant has give to him, even talking about future advises, I guess he will stay.
I think if someone is traded it will be Culver, Layman, Vando, Davis.
They won't trade Dlo and I don't see them trading Beasley, maybe if the return is pretty high they do.
