Who takes a leap this season?
Generally, a talented young player takes a jump at some point in their career. The wolves have a lot of young guys who have either been around for a few years or are just entering their development. Who on the roaster do you think takes a leap and separates themselves from previous perceptions?
Even though he is now one of our vets, I think Dlo's stock is going to go way up this season. Right now a lot of people see him as a pretty bad contract, I think his current contract will seem fair by the season's end.
I would love to see Okogie take a leap and start hitting shots, that would change his whole career.

My gut says Nowell, MCD, and Naz on defense.

Russell is a good one.
The numbers might not statistically leap, but an improved team record will do lots for the perceptions of Towns, Russell and even Edwards. All are poo-pooed to various degrees nationally, but more team success could alter those perceptions drastically.
In terms of statistical leaps, I think most would agree that the obvious choice is Jaden McDaniels.

Would be great if Prince took a leap. Know he's not one of our younger guys, but sounds like there is a lot of room for improvement after fully healing from his ankle injury..
Russell is a good answer too

Re: Who takes a leap this season?
I think McDaniels is still another year or two away.
My vote is Vanderbilt simply based on the available minutes he should have. Save for a Simmons trade that would change the dynamic of the roster, I could see him averaging close to a double double (maybe 11-8) and playing 25-28 minutes a game.

My expectations for taking a leap in the following order.
1 Ant
2 KAT
3 Russell
4 Vando
5 McDaniels

More people think it's going to take longer for McDaniels to emerge. A good year or two away.

Nowell is always the forgotten man. Someone said he was better than Beasley last season. I disagree but he has a chance to be because he can create his own shot. If he became a good shooter this season his stock goes way up.

Re: Who takes a leap this season?
I’d have to go with McD or Vando but if it ends up being Ant, we’re headed to another level.

Re: Who takes a leap this season?
If Ant goes up another level from where he ended the year, we might even avoid the play-in.

What does a leap for Ant even look like? He was 24-5-3.5 after the all star break last year.

Those averages but for a whole year on decent percentages.

Doing it for a full year, and in games that matter (games where we haven’t already been eliminated from the playoffs).

So Ant leap = maintaining status quo from where he ended up last year but on a winning team?
