Your craziest Wolves-related prediction for the upcoming season

Post#1 » by TaylorTag » Wed Oct 13, 2021 11:05 pm

Mine?

Beverley plays more minutes with Ant as the ball dominant guard this year than he will with D'Lo. Think Finch will like pairing Ant with a savvy, defense-first vet who knows how to get other players to stay engaged. While D'Lo could use some help defensively in a backcourt pairing, think there are other on-ball defenders beyond Beverley who he will share the court with him more.

I know. Really brave take.

I hope I'm wrong but we finish the year 5 games under .500 (36 wins)

JO wins most improved player, MCD has a mini collapse and falls out of the starting rotation, and KAT plays in all 82 games. 3 crazy predictions but I can see them all happening.

JO clearly has worked on his game and I think Finch will keep on him to develop that 3 point shot and to keep cutting to the basket.

MCD had foul trouble last season and his preseason defense is alarming bad. I think it will get worse before it gets better and we will move him to the second unit for a while.

KAT was healthy for several years before 2 back to back years of missing significant time. I see KAT toughing it out this season and not missing a game.

If I want to make a crazy prediction I predict we end the season with a losing record, because obviously that's not going to happen.

Okogie plays more minutes than McDaniels. In part because Okogie rides improved shooting and a strong Olympics to a good season and part because McDaniels struggles with fouls and offensive consistency.

Prince and Beverly both play well enough this season that they sign extensions with the Wolves next summer.

The Wolves finish as a top 15 defensive team.

I think the new scheme, new-look limber Towns, Beverly as tone setter, and Edwards and Okogie on the wings will have us as a top 15 NBA defense.

Jaden has a slow start, but 20 games into the season starts to look like the player we all hope he will be...and than we trade him for Myles Turner at the deadline. My non trade craziest prediction is that Dlo makes the all star game as a replacement player.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
