I'm a big fan. I need to see him play against legit competition, but he's really, really good defensively and he's averaging 26 points per game. Yes please! Because he's an old man at 21, he might fall to a spot in the draft where Minnesota could packages picks and move into the back end of the first round. That way if they could still get him if they trade their pick for someone like Myles.

Paolo Banchero looks amazing. Such a nice looking shot.

I wonder if teams start to tank harder in 2nd half of the season.

Maybe...and we will benefit by being one and done in playoffs, getting a crap pick, and being fed a line about progress and taking the right steps...

What is consensus about 2022 draft? Strong or weak? Any player with franchise potential?

Strong at the top, little depth, good big men, bad PGs.

Interesting... It means that tanking teams would try to lose as much as possible in 2nd half of the season

I finally broke down and went to Tankathon to take a look at the 22 draft. I don't watch basketball or pay attention to it other than NBA. I've heard of Chet Holmgren and that's it. He's way too skinny for my liking. I looked at the various names and I will start to familiarize myself with some of the Talent. I will watch the NCAA tournament. That's my one exception to only NBA. I will formulate some strong opinions and argue with those who don't agree with me. Go Wolves. I hope we are picking outside of the lottery.

The Top 5 is very good. In terms of (arguably) our biggest need in the paint, late lottery to late 1st not the greatest selection. Then again, I'm not sure using mid 1sts to plug holes is the right strategy.

If the tankathon mock draft is anything to go by, and Nikola Jovic is gonna be available at 19th spot as they say, and if thats when we have our pick, we should DEFENITELY take him. This kid is a special talent. I saw him by pure chance in fiba youth world cup game, and was blown away:

Minnesota’s own Kendall Brown has been falling a bit and could be in the range for Minnesota. Same goes for Jalen Hardy who was a top 5 pick heading into the year and has struggled with the Ignite. Hardy would be a fantastic sixth man for Minnesota (has some shades of D’Lo) and Brown could be what the team needs at the forward spots.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

Of the draft targets being mentioned here Tankathon has the following. Banchero at 3. No shot unless we fall to the lottery and get ping pong ball love.
Brown at 8
Keegan Murray at 12
Wolves take Hardy at 17
Nikola Jovic falls to 22.

So a controversy over taking Hardy or Jovic seems to be brewing.
I will decide which one is better and argue with those who disagree.

From the little I’ve watched I think AJ Griffin, Jovic, Keegan Murray, Julian Champagnie, Walker Kessler, Zach Edey all seem underrated.

I am all in on Griffin. He'd be such a stud pairing with Ant on the wings.

But there's no way we can get him without something seriously bad happening the rest of the season, so that can stay a pipedream.

Don't forget in your draft research over the last half of the season that we still have three 2nd rounders right now.

WAS (currently 41)
MIN (currently 46)
Best of PHI/DEN (currently 49)

I think we will trade at least one. Also WAS lost Beal, so this pick will likely be higher
