I wonder how the number compares in 4th quarters?

It feels like we (especially Ant) really crank up the TOs late.

Per 100 Possessions, Wolves average the 5th most TO in the 4th quarter.

Yeah, it is more about when they commit turnovers

It's also more about "We only watch the Wolves and don't see how turnover prone other teams are in the 4th quarter, even good teams like Phoenix".

Ant, Towns and Gobert have all been very healthy, and the three are in the Top 25 in minutes played.

Ant missed a few and played hurt for a few. Thunder and Nuggets have been pretty healthy in their top 3 as well. Clippers had a stretch without KL but had weak competition in that stretch. Other teams don’t play their guys as many minutes, so that stat can be deceptive.

I just looked, after seeing the Knicks fans on the Trade Board call Towns “injury prone” and saying Randle is “more durable.”

Towns hasn’t missed a game this year. Rudy has missed one.

If you go by Knicks fan, they will say Grimes, Evan Fournier, and a top 15 protected #1 is a fair trade for Towns.

That's not an unreasonable take.

KAT started his career as an absolute iron man, but he's missed at least 30 games 3 of the previous 4 years.

But to me, if you need to specify a particular time frame, then the claim doesn’t hold up:

For him to be considered injury-prone, you have to disregard his first three, 82-games season, and if you talk about “.. but lately” then you have to disregard him not missing a single game this year,

I think recent trumps past.

And I still hold my breath every time he hits the deck this year...

I looked at the best seasons for D-LEBRON in the last ten years. 8 of the top 12 are Rudy Gobert.

Rudy-haters might ask, “Why isn’t Rudy up there for all ten years? Well, it’s because with the increase in NBA offense lately, NO player in the last two years made the list. In other words, Rudy was in that Top 12 for eight straight years.

For the record, Rudy this year has a huge lead on all other NBA players in D-LEBRON and is a lock to win the DPOY, but that is only the 20th best season of the last 10 years.

What’s so impressive about last month is that in each of the other 3, there was only one primary scorer for the Wolves. There was no second star for Love to share the ball with. Same with Ant in January 23 when KAT was down. Last month Karl and Ant both made top 5 at the same time.

As Minnesota celebrates our sending Chris Finch and the Wolves coaching staff to the all star game, we need to remember that there is a very real downside for the west. This time next year Finch and his staff will be disqualified, so the West will have to settle for the 2nd best record coaching staff in 2025 ;)

It's horrific. It's not a fun fact, but I guess it is an unreal stat.

Fun fact and unreal stat, (courtesy of Flagrant Howls,) “The Wolves are 7 points worse per 100 possessions when Kyle Anderson is on the court.”

Can we trade him yet!?

I plan to mention this in the game threads as well, but it is both a fun fact and unreal stat. OKC is 10-4 against our division. They have 1 game against Portland and one against Utah and that is it for division games. We have 3 against Denver, 3 against Portland, and 2 against Utah. This means, that when we play Portland and Utah, not only are we playing for the W, we are playing for a very important tie breaker over OKC that might decide seeding in the West. Finch needs to harness that and raise the stakes for his team ahead of the All Star Break, as well as after it.
