Getting the leftovers sucks and seems hardly worth it. Why not waive and stretch Layman? Sure it would add about 1.3mil to our cap for the next 2 years but that's nothing.

Anyway, if he makes it through Eubanks could be interesting. He's limited but we don't need an All Star behind Towns, just someone that can play some defence, rebound the damn ball and not get sticky hands when the ball does come to him.

Would be great if Gorgui, Tristan Thompson or Favors were bought out and we could snag them.

Otherwise not sure. Monroe would be fine. He can board, score, pass and would be a nice vet.
Moses Brown would be worth looking into also.

According to Jon K, Wolves will likely add a prorated vet min big in March, he speculates it will be Greg Monroe

With Serge traded to the Bucks big Moose should be on the loose soon. If he stays available we could sign him. Not 100% sure he fits the bill, but beggars and choosers, and all that.

Goran would be a dream get. I'd be down for Favors too if he was available. I'd be so much happier if we nailed either of them.

I like big Moose. He looked good when he was here. I don't care if he can't shoot outside. He rebounds well and is good with either hand around the basket. His D is more than adequate. Plays mature ball.

We could worse than Moose. I like him more than EFK in some respects, (especially his mental health,) but I worry about his lateral quickness. On the hand he is a smart passer, good at boxing out, and I think he could do well offensively if used correctly. I just hope we don’t wait to long after the buck release him.

Cauley-Stein is my number one backup center choice. Eubanks is closer to Knight that a reasonable answer.

PF has been an issue all season, and Monroe isn't going to fix that problem. A veteran presence that is impactful on the court will be difficult to field in the buyout market.

The fact that Vando has been kinda non existent lately worries me a lot.

His whole game is his energy, defense and rebounding and he's either hurt, tired or both.

Need a reliable PF for sure that is a threat to score

On paper WCS is the only potentialy available bigman who can BOTH play in high wall and swtichting scheme. I dont now whether KAT and WCS are good friends based on their KU time.

I thought I read somewhere that Kat, Russell, Booker and WCS were all buddies during the 2015 draft and said they were all going to play together someday. It's been a long time, but I know WCS and KAT were friends at Kentucky.

If WCS is able to play again he would be a great addition. The question is whether he has resolved whatever issue he was dealing with. I'm guessing Dallas only waived him because they didn't see him being available in the foreseeable future.
