I live about 3 and a half hour drive from Vegas and I've thought about going to the summer league many times, but I never have. Maybe this year.

No offense to the players so far, but more underwhelming than over. I expect Kessler to light up summer league.

I always wonder why they start Summer League so quickly after the draft. Wish they spreaded out a bit like say late July or early August

I think most fans like me are chomping at the bit to see the draft picks play. I love that it's right after the draft.

So Nowell played as a third year, which means MCD might be available for the summer league as well. I remember Nowell missed his first summer league because he wasn’t signed with us officially when the games were played. Ideally our starting five would be Lea, Moore, Minott, MCD, and Kessler. I think this lineup though perhaps not the most successful, should give us a true insight into the future of the young pack. Ant is of course beyond this level, but those five plus one or both of our next two way players should be fun to watch.

My best guess is that any minor injuries have plenty of time to heal before the start of team activities. A high ankle sprain for example can take six weeks to heal. Similar with a broken finger or some foot sprains. Just a guess, but I think it makes sense. Also, could have to do with international players and the timing of their other commitments.

I'm pretty confident McDaniels will not play SL.

I was gonna say Jaden is way too good for SL and will only make me pray he doesnt get hurt if he did play.

Then again, Jarrett Allen played as a 3rd year guy and people were wondering why as well.

Make this the one time you go. Never know what can happen, life is short, a freaking pandemic came out of nowhere and took a bunch of this stuff away, if it's within your means and you are comfortable,I say go and experience it. Who knows, if one of these young players is a stud you will always be able to see you got in on the ground floor of their tenure as a Timberwolf.

If I had it my way they'd announce your name on draft night, you'd come up, grab your hat, smile for tv, put on a jersey, and then immediately sprint to the court to join a game already in progress and be expected to play major minutes in a round-robin tournament setting.

I might be wrong but I can't imagine McD playing summer league.

MCD needs to learn to foul less and stay on the floor. He needs every opportunity to practice defending without fouling. Moreover, Finch came right out and said he needs to improve his offense as well. I don’t see why he wouldn’t play. As for DW, he has been wrong before, and until I see confirmation I don’t consider him an absolute authority.

No Knight? IDK, I would bring him as emergency full size PF for minimum, but I think he will prefer other team
