Game 7: Wolves at Spurs 10/30/22

I wanted to open this up and make note that the Spurs will again be missing Devin Vassell. They also may be missing his replacement Josh Richardson. I'm OK with that.

Updated the title to make it easier for everyone to see.

If Minnesota takes care of business, I think 5-2 would be a very solid start to an easy schedule.

Jazz beat: Nuggets, Wolves, Pels, Rockets, and Griz
Spurs beat: Pacers, 76ers, Wolves, and Bulls
OKC beat: Clippers, Clippers, Mavs

Except for the Pacers and Rockets, every win was against a playoff team.

That just shows teams like GSW, Clippers, 76ers, Bulls and Lakers are also tanking for Victor Wembanyama. Will be interesting to watch teams forfeit their chance of a play-in later in the season :D

We get a win tonight that's a 5-2 start. I think that is where a lot of people thought we would be around this point in the season. For all the hand wrinign and poor play, that would be a pretty big win to have the same record we were optimistic about after so many were ready to jump ship after 3 games.

I was also thinking the other day how much differently we look at a 3-3 record vs a 4-2.

And as Calinks alludes, most probably think a 5-2 team is very good, whereas a 4-3 team looks mediocre.

I think it’s important to win tonight’s game, not just so others perceive MIN as a winner, but also so our players see themselves that way too, when they come and play hard. And I hope getting embarrassed by the Spurs last week reminds them that they have to play hard every single game. That’s being a professional in the NBA.

When KAT gets single coverage, he's pretty much unstoppable, teams see way more success when they double.

Spurs go to show how much a team doing all the little things, playing smart and physical, matters. They are winning games simply by playing well and controlled. They have an identity. We have a lot of talent but we are in still searching for who we are as a team and we have a lot of confusion. Spurs are a better team, we have better talent. If we played with their purpose we would look really dangerous.

My brother is already a Kyle Anderson hater after like 27 minutes of basketball.

5 assist on 10 makes.

Lost first quarter with towns shooting lights out.

V LA 3rd quarter. 3 assist on 9 shots, Ant shoots lights out. We win the 3rd.

Are we going to rip KAT for ball stopping like we did Ant last game?

Why were there two free throws on the DLo technical?
And once again it feels like a lot of calls are going against us plus us having no chemistry and no plan.
