Game 8: Wolves at Suns 11/1/22 on TNT

This is going to be brutal to watch the TNT coverage as they were already thinking we were going to be a weaker team. We have done nothing to prove them wrong. They don't like Rudy and they have a lot of issues with KAT so I expect to get some harsh critiques tomorrow night. Hopefully, we can have a good showing and maybe get a big win though.
At the very least it could be fun to see us play a highly-rated team just to see if we can dig up some extra mojo and play up to the competition.

I think Finch busts their butts, so they pull out a win.
The Spurs probably had an underdog mentality, and that helped them pull off the win.
The guards cannot possibly play as poorly as they did on Sunday night.

Isn't the Shaq and Chuck crew only Thursdays? We'll get the B crew that includes Jamal Crawford and Candace Parker.

Let’s see how we bounce back from 4 of 29 from deep. Let’s see how we rise to meet high end teams with high end records. Let’s see if Phoenix maybe takes us a little for granted.

I thought Shaq and company have been doing Tuesday games this year but that might just be for the TNT kick off week or two so we shall see.

It'll be an interesting night for Towns, as the Phoenix starting forwards are Cam Johnson and Mikal Bridges.

Ball movement or bust. We are big enough, and talented enough to win. We need to move the ball and play like our lives depend on the outcome. We bring that kind of energy and teamwork we walk out 5-3. We don’t who knows.

Bridges is one of the best defenders in the NBA. Maybe I should change my Who Ya Got. But maybe he guards Ant.

Winning this game would partially remove the hurt from losing the last.

.. and gosh darn it, people like us!
Kevin Harlan is my favorite basketball announcer, and should be on the All Kevin Timberwolves Mount Rushmore.

Win the next two games and nobody will care about the 4-3 bad start.

So, KG, Love, McHale, Harlan and Martin on that mountain? who am I missing?

Mount Rushmore is only 4. You already have too many.

Martin is an easy drop

Thankfully Mt. Rushmore is only 4 people, so we can leave Martin (and Ollie!) off the monument.

With Ayton and Crowder out, Phoenix is going to have to play small. This two big system needs to find a way to punish teams doing this and rack up their fouls.

Ah shoot, we forgot about Kevin Lynch....

Problem is, we have not been able to do that, that was a big criticism, people said we would not be able to punish small teams and so far that has been the case. Our size has not been an advantage outside of some nice Towns lobs. We have been getting killed on the glass and even in the paint.

While overall stats may not reflect it, situationally we have been able to take advantage, such as when LeBron played C to close out the last three minutes of that game. Gobert scored 6 of the last 8 points, had 3 rebounds and 2 fouls drawn. The Lakers had just 4 rebounds in that time, but 3 of them came off missed free throws.
