2023 NBA Draft - 630 central start time.

Post#1 » by moss_is_1 » Thu Jun 22, 2023 8:04 pm

Little more than 3 hours. Is it just me or did the draft come super fast this year?

Wolves own the 53rd pick.

Any predictions for trades? Players on the move, trading up, trading for another pick? Haven't heard a lot of rumors but I'm sure we've been real active.

Guys, I will not be watching, it is midnight here in Europe. Just ping me if we draft any European player during a Taco Bell commercial

It took forever to get here in 2021!

As the roster stands now it's hard for any rookie, let alone the 53rd pick to make an impact for the upcoming season. I'd say backup pg is the biggest need by far. Shooting, rebounding should also be looked at.

Hornets potentially drafting Scoot at number 2 would have the Blazers (and other NBA teams) scrambling in panic. I’m for this drama. 8-)

I am still hoping that Connelly can use some combination of Prince, future 2nds, and cash to get a pick in the low 30s.

To grab? Do you have a good prospect in your book?

Or would Charlotte turnaround and deal Henderson to New Orleans for Williamson?

Charlotte owns 3 picks between 34 and 41 in addition to their 2 1st rounders (2 and 27).

My prediction for tonight is that we end up with one of those (via 53 or a future 2nd and cash) and take Bones Hyland, er, I mean, Terquavion Smith.

I'd be looking at Marcus Sasser. He's a bit undersized, but it looks like he can defend and shoot at a decent level. He's also a bit older which could mean he'd be ready to contribute sooner rather than later.

A possible Patty Mills type.

When they introduced Jett Howard, Juwon was standing behind him, stiff as a board!

I’ve never seen him look so nervous and wooden! It was sweet.

What if Shams tweets that “Wembanyama will be Spurs pick,” a minute before the pick is made! Breaking news!

L for the Hornets.
LaMelo Ball better not suffer any more major injuries.

Such a shame. The Ball brothers are terrific players.

But I wonder if their dad pushing them so hard, so young is a major reason why they're so injury prone as adults? Too much stress on their joints and ligaments while they were still growing?

If Miller bust, the Hornets are cursed.

Well, now that Scoot is in POR, there’s still a chance for the people that want to see KAT traded.
