Which Big is Traded by Deadline? Any? Percentage?
Make your guesses which big is traded by the deadline! Give your percentages. Mine?
25%. Towns
20%. Gobert
15%. Naz
40%. No trade done by deadline
Towns: Coming off injury, I suspect KAT’s trade value is at its lowest. GM’s will want to see him healthy, and need to be reminded how good he is.
Gobert: he also had a down season, fitting into the team. He needs to be set up, and with Conley and Ant, and some practice time, his trade value should improve this year as well. Connolly (and WS-focused owners) may value him more than other teams.
Naz Reid: His trade value will likely decrease with less playing time. We might have an injury that creates a need.
No trade: Yes, the second apron is scary, but if the team is Top 3-4 in the West, I think the new owners might pay the price to avoid a trade that makes the team worse, if they want public interest on a new stadium.

Re: Which Big is Traded by Deadline? Any? Percentage?
In-season trades are usually dependent on what the team gets back in return that will keep them competitive. Also because it's far easier to aggregate salaries with better, more expensive players. Youth and picks won't get it done in a Towns trade during the season. And I don't think management will be ready to give up on the "experiment" unless the return is significant enough.
With all that said, I tend to lean towards no trade. If any trade happens, I think it's because a significant enough offer was made for Towns. I don't see a trade for Gobert or Reid occurring.

Re: Which Big is Traded by Deadline? Any? Percentage?
My guess is that the Towns/Gobert experiment works well enough to convince Connelly to stick with it for the full season. I don't see the Wolves making a move to "dump" any of the bigs, so any potential deal would have to be one that the front office finds attractive. There is always the chance that a deal becomes available that makes too much sense, but at this point I'm highly skeptical of one materializing mid-season. As percentages:
10% Towns
10% Gobert
5% Reid
75% none are of the 3 are traded
10% Towns
10% Gobert
5% Reid
75% none are of the 3 are traded

Re: Which Big is Traded by Deadline? Any? Percentage?
One of them has to go and I think that it'll be Rudy. The team over Connelly's reputation will take priority once they sign Jaden to his deal. There's no way that we can have 4 huge contracts in the team and expect to get better or retain the players we have. Town's value will only grow while Rudy has a small window once he starts playing better. This holding on to players just because people can't admit to their mistakes if foolishness. Once Rudy is gone for a PG then its off to the races. Towns can get back to driving past slower Centers. Naz can get his minutes, Ant can have his space and not worry about feeding Rudy. And we can sign another player and keep our own.

I'm gonna go.
25% Towns (Think his value goes way up as he has a good season much like his norm, everyone remembers he's a really good player, he can shoot lights out, etc.)
15% Gobert (I also think he gets a value bump, I just don't see it being as much as KAT's and the offers that Towns will get will be a lot more appealing to the front office.)
10% Naz Reid (Don't think its happening but a multi-player deal or something unforeseen could make it so he needs to be moved.)
50% No Trade (Team clicks solidly to greatly. We look good, chemistry is good, the front office doesn't want to mess a good thing up. Still may trade in the off-season.)

The only way I see a KAT or Gobert trade before next off season is if the Wolves are out of the playoff race .

No trade.
We need a full season to see what we have.
After that is anybody’s guess.
I do think KAT has an opportunity to play himself into staying. If he’s doesn’t, well…

80% no trade
10% Naz - only for offers that we can't refuse, like a long term PG.
10% SloMo - only piece we could move to improve the team
A lot depends on JMcD contract situation too.
Conley will likely be here all year and sign an extension for two more years at around 8M a year (base on speculation he moved his family to MN and his age).

Re: Which Big is Traded by Deadline? Any? Percentage?
If things are going fantastic with KAT/Rudy I’d say Naz is the most likely (think Tyus).
If things are going rough between the pairing but Rudy is back to DPOY/Jazz Rudy I could see it going either way with him/KAT.
If things are going rough but Rudy is still playing like he did last season and KAT is back, I could see a selling of KAT at proper value.

By the deadline?
60% no trade
30% Towns
5% Gobert
5% Naz
Cannot trade Rudy simply because he has negative trade value (at best neutral) at the moment. If he rehabs that value during the season, my guess is that the team is playing well enough no trade is made.

I don’t care which big they trade as long as it’s Gobert and as long as it’s 100%.

98% no trade
1% KAT
1% Rudy
0% Naz.

Rudy is a great player and I predict this post of yours ages extremely poorly.

Re: Which Big is Traded by Deadline? Any? Percentage?
I’m happy that so many posters are embracing the “no trade” option!
After the CBA came out, many people nationally and locally were treating it like there was no chance we’d keep all three bigs, and I was expecting to get slammed for even suggesting we could keep them all. I am getting more and more opportunistic that the team does well, and Lore and ARod keep them all.

You're coming around, but I was really disappointed to see your odds on that one was getting traded prediction.

Re: Which Big is Traded by Deadline? Any? Percentage?
If I had to trade one, it would be Towns. I’d prefer to keep Rudy because he’s the only defensive center we have, and Towns is way more expensive than Reid and probably brings more back in a trade.

If we were going to trade one of them KAT makes the most sense, but trading him IMO is nonsense.
