Will the Timberwolves get a 10 game win streak this season?

The Timberwolves have only had one other 10-game win streak in their history and it's their second-longest win streak ever. This happened in the 2004-2005 NBA Season. Will we hit a 10 game win streak? As of the time of this post, we are currently sitting at a 7 game win streak heading into a game against the Suns tonight.

10 straight is hard, so I'm going to say no.

But I might be wrong again. :)

I think so. If they win tonight the next 2 games are @Pels and Knicks at home which are pretty winnable for this team imo.

The real number to beat is the wolves all-time record which is 11 wins in a row.

At least Jaden will be fresh to guard Durant tonight. First game back for Booker and they don’t have a PG to ease the transition.

Tough game on our back-to-back getting in late, and the Suns are favored by 5.5, but it’s not unwinnable.

The Suns haven't had a chance to gel yet. I like our chances.

I'm going with the 10 game winning streak happening right now choice. This most likely will be our best shot at it and maybe our only shot at it.

Look for 1/22/2024 to 2/6/2024. If everyone is healthy and we have a good backup PG. That could be a 12 game winning streak. If we get the 11-5 start and run that streak, we should be set as a top 4 team. - reposted to the this thread

Bump as we got another shot right now though it will be tough.

I am just hoping for 8 and 8 for the next 16 games.

(Stepping back to appreciate that this is a legitimate question this year)

Stop that. Just stop.

Very, very difficult stretch coming up.

Not too confident we will have nearly the same success we have date to date. Jaden not being back yet and Ant's hip wont be 100% for a while. He'll be good enough that he might not miss many games but he wont be 100% .

Looking at that schedule I see every one of them as a win with the exception of at Boston. Of course we won't win every one of them, but I look at all, but Boston as more likely a win than a loss. I'll go with 12-4 would be satisfactory anything less disappointing.

You're not wrong. It is a very difficult stretch. We are just a good enough team that a very difficult stretch should translate to 12-4. :D

I certainly think 12-4 is possible, but I'm not expecting it. I think 10-6 is a pretty reasonable explanation, possibly even 11-5.

Man, how expectations has changed from last year. Given Wolves already at 17-4. If we go 12-4, that would put us at 29-8 which is on pace for a 64 win season. Go 10-6, would be on pace for 60 wins. Don't forget we then have 12 games after that against weak teams.

I am going with we have a reasonable chance at winning every game except in BOS. Which is not something Wolves fans are used to. Also, set my season expectation at 56 wins instead of 60+. That is 11.5 more than what Vegas thinks. Should had buy when it was low :D

Additionally context: last year Bucks (top east) won 58, BOS 57, PHI 54; DEN (top west) won 53, MEM 51, SAC 48

To add onto this, the Wolves only have to go 33-28 the rest of the way to get to 50 wins.

You would be disappointed if we went 11-5 in this? It is 16 games vs Playoff Caliber teams.

I get it, we are good, we are currently #1 in the West, but c'mon man. 10-6 during this stretch puts us at 27-11, well ahead of Phil Jackson's "40-20 is the minimum to be a title contender" record.

2023 Denver: 42-18
2022 GSW: 43-17

I have high expectations. I won't consider 11-5 a disaster, but it's less than what I'm hoping for.
