I wonder who Nurse put on Towns: old "friend" Batum? Harris? Also who will defend Embiid? Towns?

Some interesting stats: this season Maxey is red hot from 3PT 42.5% on 8 attempts per game, 27ppg, 7apg and only 1.4 turnovers. We need to stop Melton as well who has been averaging 19ppg, 5.2rpg, 2.6apg, 1.6spg on 52%FG, 55%3PT in last five games.

It looks like after years of mediocre coaching their offense is starting to click.

P.S. Also Oubre was huge for PHI averaging 16.3ppg, 5rpg, 1,4spg. 50%FG, 38%3PT

NAW is probably the better choice to check Maxey, as he's the one type of player Jaden can struggle with a little.

Also doesn't hurt that Maxey played almost 48 minutes last night.

I'm mad that Embiid isn't playing. I want to see teams at their best playing us, also it makes it worse if we lose. I think this game could have gone either way if Embiid did play. I could see is giving them problems because we have so much size, Embiid could struggle and other players would have to step up. On the other hand I could see Towns fouling out in one quarter because the refs give Embiid so many damn calls and KAT is a foul machine.

With him not play this becomes a must win. They are still a good team regardless but we got to get this win at home.

Sucks that Emiid is out, but with him out should allow us to really focus in on Maxey, lets see if we can keep him from scoring 25. He's having a great season including a monster 50pt outing.

We definitely could win this game tonight with Embiid playing. We definitely could lose the game tonight with Embiid being out which he is.

Yeah it would be nice to beat them at their best, but it would suck to lose to them and his being out makes that less likely.

This is a test of depth for them, the first time without Embiid this season who is averaging just under 35 mpg.

They have a lot of defensive grinders though, this will not be an easy game. Guys like Melton, Tucker, Beverley, Covington, Batum are good players. They aren't as big of a test as they'd be with Embiid, but tonight will be a grind!

Interesting that teams are starting to rest their stars against us on games that are "schedule losses".
I can't stand Embiid, so can't say I'm sad about that.
Was curious to see if we were going to guard him with KAT and use the "Jokic defense" on him.

Maxey is really, really good, and Nurse has improved their offense significantly over what Rivers was doing last year, but without Embiid out there as a threat he's going to be a little less dangerous.

We need to rise to the occasion though, we've been winning games with one good quarter and 3 mediocre quarters for the past couple weeks. I hope Shake has a big game against his former team, we need him, Troy, and NAW to step up with Jaden out.

This is a totally revamped offense it looks to me. Finch listened to us after that horrible loss early and made big changes. Damn, we look good.
