Figure we could use a thread solely to discuss the finals.

KP also takes advantage of his size.

I am not watching the game but why can't Towns do what Zingis is doing?

Towns doesn't really have a middle game. It's either drives or 3s

He does, he doesn't go to it. I don't know why.

Because he wants to be the best shooter big man in NBA history?

I didn't watch game one, but the stats looks like how Twolves should be playing. Let Luka get his 30, low efficiency, and no assists and contain Kyrie. It seems like we have the players to do that, so what went wrong and how is BOS playing any different? Do they play better rotation, smarter, just better players?

Wake me up June 26, for draft night and the start of the trade season.

Same. I have very little interest in this series.

By comparison, 24 million watched South Carolina vs Iowa (Caitlyn Clark) in last spring’s NCAA Finals.

Excellent, the NBA will rig it so we make the finals next year.

It's looking more and more like you have to have damn good offense to win a title. Boston is playing at a high level on both ends but their offense has really killed Dallas. They were shooting poorly last night but they still pretty handily beat the Mavs. Lively and Gafford are nowhere near as effective as they were against us. They crushed out front court time and time again and they are struggling against the Celtics.

Celtics have 5 guys on the floor who can shoot and they have 4 guys who can punish you off the dribble. We had a major problem because we had 3 reliable shooters and Towns was off for half the series. I think we have to have 4 guys who can shoot next season. Our offense needs an overhaul.

I don't know why so few watched but my reason is I dislike both teams and don't feel DAL has a chance. Can't wait for Celtics just win 4-0 or 5-1 and move on to coaching change and NBA draft trade discussions.

Yes, let Luka have his but contain everyone else. This should be the blueprint on how to beat DAL next year. Defense could only take you so far. We need offense too.

I expect the Mavericks to respond tonight at home. Hopefully Kyrie shows up and they can make this series a bit more interesting.

Mavericks are getting smacked again right now. I don't get it, they can't seem to impose anything on Boston.

Welp, the Mavericks are getting killed. This is even worse, we couldn't touch these guys and they can't touch Boston. Embarrassing we couldn't at least make it a series against them if they are getting cooked like this in the finals.

I really think the west beat the **** out of each other. Kyrie looks like the only one with anything left. Celtics fresher going through east.

Much better chance Ant & Co. learned something from WCF than the chances Luka will learn something from Finals.

This series actually makes me feel better about our future going forward.

I'm not the biggest Finch fan and one of my gripes was not resting starters especially Conley during the regular season. I'm not the only one who feels this way as I've read others who thinks the Wolves ran out of gas against Dallas. Now that we established this season that home field advantage meant nothing for the Wolves, I'm fine with a top 6 finish in the West and would rather rest Conley, Ant etc so they are fresher during the playoffs and also establish a deeper bench. I want to see Monte Morris if we resign him getting more minutes and some starts. I also want to see what Leonard Miller can bring with rotational minutes and see if he's ready to contribute. I want a deeper bench and rested starters for next year's playoffs.

Man, I think this Boston team is in its own league for now. They are much deeper than last year's Denver team. I don't think Wolves would have fared much better than Dallas is, so it kind of takes a bit of the sting from losing to Dallas. We really need Ant and Jaden to elevate their games (Ant has to learn to lob the ball to Rudy and Jaden needs to be a bigger offensive presence) and for Naz to significantly improve his defense and rebounding. I don't know if Rudy's hands can be improved, but he should be catching lob passes in practice all the time and certainly more than he is trying to make three point jumpers. We need Conley and KAT to stay healthy and we need to get the bench players more reps and the starters more rest. I'd also like us to add a top level coach to help with in game adjustments as this is a weakness of Finch.
