Hoopshype 23-24 Rankings loved us

https://hoopshype.com/lists/nba-ranking-top-100-players/

5. Ant
15. Rudy
31. KAT
62. Naz
68. Jaden
76. Mike

There’s a few paragraphs on each player if you want to visit the article. The best part is they give their pre-season predictions as well, and the Wolves blew them out of the water!

Pistons fire coach Monty Williams after one season, owe him $65 million

The Detroit Pistons on Wednesday fired coach Monty Williams after one season, absorbing the remaining $65 million on his contract.

New Pistons president of basketball operations Trajan Langdon, who was hired a month ago, had been meeting regularly with Williams about the franchise's future, but the decision to dismiss Williams was directed from the ownership level with Tom Gores, sources told ESPN.

Isn't this ridiculous? Let's buy the guy I want to run my team, even though he doesn't want to coach. Oh, nevermind. I don't like him that much. SMH

The Pistons are such a mess, makes me wonder how good Cade and even someone like Jaden Ivey would be on a competent franchise.

Cade is one of those guys who I wouldn't fret if they were the centerpiece of a Towns deal (note: I don't think it would happen, but the value's not horrible on either side)

I really don't understand why the Lakers would hire JJ Reddick over an established candidate. The way the NBA just goes after flash in the pan names is so stupid to me. You got guys grinding and building skills for over a decade and you pull somebody off the street because they got social media cred or a recognizable name because they are attached to a hot team.

I wonder if JJ would try to get Monty as a lead assistant....

Well I don’t expect him to ever be healthy enough to help okc much. Bulls should have traded him at the deadline they are so dumb.

So basically, they view him as "the final piece"....not sure I'd agree with that. Still too small for my liking.

Yeah. He's a really nice player (when healthy), but he doesn't fix their main issues (rebounding and defensive size).

OKC is getting better, without getting bigger.

P.S. I am remembering myself that sometimes it is not about straight trade that makes better. But combination of moves, like Marcus Smart, KP trade and after that Goliday trade. Now OKC have Dort, Wallace and Caruso as PoA defenders, not bad.

Giddy couldn’t shoot to save his life.

I like the move.

If OKC can extend him that's a pretty good move for them on paper, Caruso fits exactly what they do and shot really well last year.
Have to think at 30 he may have peaked though. They also lose some of the secondary ballhandling and passing they got from Giddey.
He basically duplicates much of what Cason Wallace brings so that is a bit head scratching.
The lack of secondary playmaking was maybe our own biggest achilles heel in the playoffs too.

Giddey didn't shoot well, but I think there is more upside there and it was a tough year for him both on and off the court with the scandal of dating the underage girl. A change of scenery should really benefit him.

Maybe it's a better gamble for Chicago to deal Caruso for an established young player rather than what would probably be a non-lottery pick or two.
