Who do we get as a reserve PG?

If Conley goes down, we're in trouble at PG depth. Who do we get?

I was kind of looking at Dennis Smith Jr.. He can't shoot worth a lick but he can get to the basket and defend. We'd have to sign him for the vet league minimum which is around 2.8 mil.

OR, do they go with someone they know Daishen Nix. He's a pretty good player who can handle the ball and dish. Decent offensive game too and he's young. Maybe that's the best option all the way around? He could be on a 2-way again. I think we have one spot left?

What do you all think?

I got four letters for you. Starts with J, ends in C, and in between is something that people sometimes call their mothers.

Ingles doesn't end in C though?

Then it’s a good thing we won’t be getting him ;)

 It took me a bit to get it!!! Oh, the things I was thinking! :banghead: I'd be ok with that. I'm not sure HE wants that. I think he wants a chance to catch on with someone else where he might have a chance to play. Just my guess. I like him limitations and all.

This is what we call Supreme Court interpretation. You just ignore the first sentence to arrive at the outcome most pleasing to you ;)

Happy with that at the vet min. Knowing how to feed Rudy takes time, but he comes in ready.

In the same way that Kevin Garnett was "not a PG" in the 2003-04 WCF. PGs are not the only players allowed to bring the ball up the court and/or initiate half-court offense.

In the second unit he was for us. He doesn't guard point guards but he does run an offense pretty competently. Maybe his athleticism has faded even more and he can't, but if that is the case, he probably isn't an NBA player anymore.

And with Jaden, NAW, Ant, he would never be asked to guard opposing point guards

If we fill the 14th spot with a PG (I'd put it at 85% likelihood), I think there's a chance they'll go a little younger rather than older. Maybe someone like Malachi Flynn or perhaps Trent Forrest (another Utah connection).
