***The New Official Videogame, TV, Movie, and Entertainment Thread***
The last video game thread kind of died off around here as it seems a lot of the gamers have left or lost interest in discussing the medium. That said, there are a few topics that come up from time to time I'd still like to post about and I figure we could use a generally entertainment thread as this board may grow with the Timberwolves newfound popularity. Feel free to discuss anything Video Game, TV Show, Movie, Book, or Entertainment-related that isn't Timberwolves.
Here is the last Video Game Thread.

One thing that makes me sad is Game Informer is no more. I know KGdaBom had major ties to them back in the day and I would be curious if you have any thoughts you would like to share about the magazine and it's closure. Unfortunately, this is where all print media has been heading for many years but I have fond memories of GI and it blew my mind as a kid when I found out the magazine was being made right here in Minnesota.
I have a lot of great memories of getting my new magazine and reading it on city bus rides or car trips. I'm really happy they managed to stick around for over 30 years and be one of the last publications standing when it was all said and done.

Well this brings back memories!
Unfortunately, I sold my Xbox about 4 years ago. I just didn't use it enough the older I got to make it worthwhile to keep around. On occasion, I definitely wish I still had it! I would be all over NCAA 25....

Yea I think some other users loster interest like you or aged out. That said we have some new users and maybe there are people who would be down to discuss games the other subjects some more. Worth a shot I figure and I am always firmly in the gaming world myself and happy to chop it up.

I still play the PS5 regularly - Mainly 2K, but started playing through Red Dead again recently - Also I'm what they call a "bogan nerd" here in Aus - Grew up country, love my footy and a beer on a Friday, but at the same time adore Star Wars, Harry Potter and the like.

Red Dead is a classic, I got it on PC and started it up, I just haven't been able to bring myself to dedicate any real time to playing it but yea that game is incredible.
On the movie front, I am a member of AMC A-List and they have this event they do a couple of times a month called AMC screen Unseen where you can pay reduced prices to see an advanced screening of a mystery movie. As a film fan I like to this every now and then because its pretty refreshing to just see something I may never otherwise go and see. Last night was the thriller Skincare. Honestly the movie was just so-so in my opinion but I did find it entertaining. Had a very odd tone of comedic but also some dark and creepy themes.

I still XCOM2 War of Chosen, but the biggest time killer for me has been an old game called Into The Breach, I will buy a sequel in a heartbeat.

My three biggest upcoming anticipations for video games go to Hades 2 (2025), GTA 6 (mid-2025) and Ghost of Tsushima 2 (2027?, or whenever Dr. Dre releases Detox).
I’m on NCAA 25, but the play value weakens quite quickly.

The game series legend of heroes (also known as the trails series,) and rogue book for fans of roguelike card type games are both excellent.

Who else has a pre-order for Star Wars Outlaws? Depending on work and kids, was hoping of taking a day off when it releases

I'm very likely going to get it. Not super excited but I have liked the last few big Star Wars single-player games and this one looks solid too.

I forgot to mention that Monster Hunter Wilds will release next year. For those who don’t know MH is a series that is very boss fight focused. You harvest ingredients from the environment and monster parts from your kills to make better weapons and armor. You can hunt solo or in co op. One warning, it is highly addictive.

I'm just waiting for Civ VII to come out. Just finished Baldur's Gate 3 a couple of months ago.

Heroes 3 is amazing. But the King’s bounty series is better. They took the best of heroes, added a ton of RPG elements, and made a super game, then 5 sequels. Start with King’s bounty the legend, it will change your world.

Yes, those were good too. I also played most of them.

Did you play the legend of heroes? Also known as trails of series?

Nah, haven't played that. I've played age of wonders 3 though. With a barely month old baby, I have to choose which game to prioritize to play
