58: MN v OKC
Rudy out again. We have no one to replace him.
Finch has no control over ANT, let alone the entire MO of the team.
Is the tiff with Rob over, or will he ride the pine?
We are lost souls. Blowout of epic proportions incoming. Okc -8.5 is a lock. Bet the house.

Yeah, can't see anything else but a blowout with this one - I really hope I'm wrong though...

Finch had a tiff with Minott and Minott escalated it. Now he is benched 95% of the time and only given just enough run to struggle to find a rhythm. Finch could go that route with Dilly. Punish him for small mistakes with no rewards for good plays. Get in his head to the point that he almost has to mess up and then Finch has his excuse to bench him. Miller doesn’t even get the chance to blow it. In other words Finch is the type of guy who likes to bully those in tough situations. Or at least that is how it looks from the outside peering in.

I am not at Finch's corner but at the same time, Dilly took two really bad 3s and just not playing well. Ant made poor decisions too but at least made up for some of it. After all the leach is going to be different between an all star and a rookie.

It should be different. But TSJ touches the over and back and melts down and is right back on the floor. Dilly would have been useful in the 2nd half and was not used. Finch needs to understand that these are people and need to be treated as such.

Yes. Finch is a horrible leader. Trying to display authority, but just doesn't have it.

Re: 58: MN v OKC
Finch is f.... stubborn and more than that, he is an adept of ''2 poids 2 mesures''. There is no reason Dilly got benched that long last time. Sit him, talk to him and put him back. TSJ got different treatment and no even speaking of ANT who make the same mistake at clucth time again and again...annoying.....
Hope we play well tonight. Will be tough without Rudy.
Is Randle back?

No Randle tonight. He is likely going to be mid week. Also no Rudy, no DDV, and Jesse Edwards has an ankle injury. Edwards might have actually had some run tonight so it is a shame. Instead you can expect more Luka Garza over Leonard Miller. Chris Finch is the guy who would rather lose the game than not play his favorites.

Well Finch will get the best of both worlds tonight.

When forced to play small ball the key is small victories. You need to win the turnover battle, the free throw battle, the fast break battle, the 3 point differential. You have so little margin for error that you need to do all the small things right just to compete. Hopefully the guys showed up to gang rebound, high energy rotate, and just straight up hustle.

Re: 58: MN v OKC
ANT, Jaden and NAZ has to go for 20-25 each. And Mike has to deliver 10 assists at least. Play with structure, no TO, shoot 3 well... Go Wolves!

Clark starting instead of NAW. NAW will probably back-up Mike. Not see Rob will be out a lot tonight.

They want NAW to stay out of foul trouble as much as possible. If Clark can wear down SGA a bit with tough D it will help NAW both defend and defend without fouling.

OKC just better than us right now. We do not shoot well enough and SGA is 2 step ahead of ANT.

Re: 58: MN v OKC
Refs are killing us. Ant is the reason we are gonna lose. He hates to pass the ball. Loves to shoot without passing. Loves step backs which he is far from consistent at shooting lately. Ant would rather lose shooting 30-35 times than win shooting 20 times. It is maddening.

The 4th quarter against Houston and the 1st quarter tonight Ant is taking and missing a lot of questionable shots.

We are not allowed to guard SGA. He can push off, but we cannot use any physicality. They can hack Naz to force a turnover, run into Ant to force a turnover, block into TSJ to force a tough miss, and hold guys so they cannot get off screens, but we cannot have marginal contact without a whistle. SGA without the whistle is far from an MVP.

They are bad. Nothing questionable about them.

This is where, in my opinion, a good coach would change up the game plan a bit... but here we are
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
