Tomorrow...still a 37-hour wait

IMO that should have been a foul on Jaden. Accidental, but he did trip Luka. However, Luka fell 3 other times in the game when a foul shouldn't have been called and one was called anyway. The refs owed us.

Luka stepped on Jaden’s foot, so Luka tripped over Jaden more than Jaden actually tripping him.

It doesn't matter. It's always a trip if they trip over your foot.

Ant has stepped on many a foot and never gotten a tripping call.
Jaden has just as much right to that space a Luka.
Jaden’s foot beat Luka’s foot to the spot. Foul on Luka’s foot.

Brian Windhorst talked to several refs about the “tripping” call, and he was told that it’s one of the hardest calls for refs to make because they aren’t watching the players’ feet. In general, if the player falls forward, it’s usually called, and if they fall sideways, it typically isn’t.
I think the other thing to consider here is Luka is a known flopper. On reviews, he can make the refs look very bad when he fools them into blowing a whistle they shouldn’t. With this being a critical possession in the game, I think the refs would be less likely to want to blow the whistle on any borderline call, but particularly from a flopper.

tbf, from this angle, it looks like Jaden clearly stepped into Luka's path. Its probably tough for refs to spot this in real time. I think Wolves did get lucky and caught a big break here because a foul called here would have resulted in 2 FTs.

To me clearly a foul on Jaden, but we were owed for the BS calls when Doncic fell earlier.

This is why I don't subscribe to ref conspiracy much. It all even out over time. I do remember one game in this series (maybe 3), that Lakers were getting all the benefits of the doubt

One of the earlier fouls on Jaden showed a clear hook by Luka before Luka fell down. This time Luka was pushing off with his off arm. The NBA was correct that a foul was missed, an offensive foul on Luka before the trip.

This is the type of situation which usually leads to a terrible loss. Game 2 is a great example. Ant will probably start the game like he does against tanking teams, and we will likely come out flat. I hope I am wrong and we play a full 48 tomorrow. But I am concerned we will give the game away and just expect to win game 6. If this happens we could find ourselves in game 7 and that would not be ideal. Winning tomorrow lets us rest and get ready for GSW.
