Playoff rules question/discussion

Post#1 » by winforlose » Mon May 5, 2025 6:21 pm

So Draymond Green got 4 techs and 2 Flagrant 1s in the 7 game series with Houston. Windy said in this video on this at time code 5:35 that those carry over for the purpose of suspension? Can anyone confirm this. If this is true, it seems likely Green will miss 1, 2, or potentially more games in this series. Especially if the Wolves decide to go after draymond with trash talk, (Ant has talked publicly that is a goal, Rudy and Green have a lot of history, including the sh** that Green talked about Rudy when Rudy was in the postseason last year, and Jaden’s history of blow ups with GSW.) My point being Draymond is likely to acquire at least 3 techs and 2 flagrants in 4-6 games.

Flagrants and technicals are not pooled together for suspension purposes (I can't tell if you think this or not).

On flagrant fouls, it's flagrant "points" that matters. Four points in the playoffs gets a suspension. He's at 2 already.

Flagrant 1 = 1 point
Flagrant 2 = 2 points

My bad if I wasn’t clear enough, I meant he had 2 flagrant points and 4 techs (separate sets of things, each which can lead to a suspension.) I think Draymond will get at least 1 flagrant and 1 tech in game 1, and if we bait him, maybe we can give him 2 techs. From there, any other flagrant or tech is an automatic suspension. Thus in a 5 game series (what I expect,) I could see Draymond miss 1 from techs, 1 from flagrants, and have an ejection on top.
