Fleming would be my current choice. I'm not a big college ball watcher but his metrics, athleticism, and size are a nice combination. I'm a sucker for a potential defensive player who can switch and hit 3s.

My Wish List:
17. Clayton Jr.
31. Coward
I'm still convinced that Clayton Jr will be a Top 5 player from this Draft when the dust settles.
Coward has incredible upside but is a bit of an unknown missing most of last season due to injury.
It wouldn't surprise me at all if Connelly traded both picks as part of a larger trade to land a PG.

Tough question considering our FA situation. Based on need I’d go with:
17th -> Asa Newell
31th -> Maxime Raynoud
17th -> Asa Newell
31th -> Maxime Raynoud

Can you elaborate why? Watching his highlights I get strong Jimmer Fredette vibes

If no one from Coward/Carter/Sorber/Fleming group is available at 17th, then I will take Saraf

It's a fair question, Minimus, and it's very hard for me to put into basketball terms. His game reminds me of what DeAngelo Russell was supposed to be coming out of college, but more athletic and driven.minimus wrote:Slim Tubby wrote:I'm still convinced that Clayton Jr will be a Top 5 player from this Draft when the dust settles.

When I watch him play, he lets the game come to him, gives his teammates room to shine and he has a "winner" gene that won't show up in his measurables at the Combine.
He's far from being an elite defender which I know is very important to you as a fan. He's also not a pure PG nor does he fill an obvious need for a backup big man.
What he can do is shoot, distribute the ball, rebound well for his position and make others on his team better.
And he wins.

Funny, in the thumbnail for his video he look a bit like Jamal Murray - who I think is his very best case scenario.

That's a pretty good comparison, both in likeness and style of game.BlacJacMac wrote:minimus wrote:Slim Tubby wrote:It's a fair question, Minimus, and it's very hard for me to put into basketball terms. In a heartbeat.
But I don't think our picks get us there.

My formula based on average nba drafts says that combining #17 and #31 has about the same value as #13, FWIW.

I'll be shocked if Maluach doesn't go in the top half of the lottery - or at least Top 10.

Would you take Liam McNeeley at 17th?

Clap for the Wolfman. Danny Wolf has now pulled into a tie with Egor Demin for our pick at 17. I get Demin I really don't get Wolf. Can his fans make a case for him?

I think he's in play. He didn't shoot as well as advertised this season, but he's said to be an elite shooter, has good size and isn't a flashy defender but he's still very solid.

I am kind of torn on Wolf... High volume passer, but not an elite decision maker. Good size and mobility, but bad defender (reminds me Reid a lot)

Isn't TSJ a SF. He's going to be very good. I'm not in the market for a SF.

He is, but I think BPA is always a good route if our FO values him that way. You can always use shooting and guys can get in minutes based on matchups. He's got size to play the 2-4 at about 6'8".
