if he's there for the minimum and taylor is ready to cut or buy out another player I'd say yes but if not, no.

If we arent going to make a deal at the deadline to shed bodies than I say no go. But if we find a way to get rid of Doleac in a deal than we might as well. No point in having 2 mediocre Centers.

If they cut Doleac, yes. Anyone else, no.
"Dude, all I am saying is we already have a starting RB, his name is Chester Taylor. Besides AP isn't that good anyways. I hope we draft McFadden." --Me after he broke the record.

Doleac is the only realistic cut, and even that's pushing it. If we swing a 2 for 1 or 3 for 2, then it'd be a good signing.

I was thinking the same. I was really hoping we would be able to showcase Doleac and swing him for something more useful at the deadline but apparently thats not in the FO's plans.

Buy him out or Mbenga is worthless

I was thinking just cut Doleac and take a chance on the athletic Mbenga.
He's got to be one of the 5 most athletic centers in the NBA.

Buy-out? You'd be asking Taylor to pay a fifth guy not to play for the team this year. I suppose it's not a real loss -- he's only buying out one year, and losing Doleac's production is no big loss. Still, my natural inclination is to trade him to create the roster space.

As for adding Mbenga -- I think you're right. Athletic, but needs somewhere that he might develop. MIN sounds like a perfect match.

With Doleac being an ending contract it is more of a waive then a buy-out. if that helps.

we're already paying Doleac not to play for us, the only difference is we wouldn't have to pay his per diem

I didn't really get that line, I was thinking it could be a High Fidelity reference, but I've only seen that movie once so I'm not sure...

Chappelle Show making fun of P.Diddy's "Making the Band" if you ever watched that show, he does a good job.

The reference is about 30 seconds in.
