Anyone watch 1st and 10? They asked what team out of us, MIA, NYK, and CHI is in the worst shape. Greg Anthony said NYK, Skip said MIA (With CHI in 2nd)

Whats going on? What happened to the Wolf-bashers?

No expectations for the Wolves. CHI and MIA were supposed to be in the play-offs.

But heck -- every mention on network news makes things more fun for me on the trade boards!

NBA Fastbreak this morning asked Rick Carlisle which was a worse situation, Miami or 'Sota and he quickly said Miami was worse.

I really dont see how you can compare to a rebuilding team to a team with bad players, bad contracts, Wade and Haslem.

Wade is better than anyone we have on our roster, and Haslem is decent, but beyond that Miami is in the hurt bag...they've got some serious stuff to figure out with that team. At least MOST of our big contracts expire this year or next. Knicks have been an absolute wreck for a while now, so that's no surprise...their youth isn't all that inspiring and their vets are...well...obviously better on the court than ours, but those contracts and holes in their game to go along with the insane chemistry...painful.

I'm not sure that Chicago is in worse shape than us, though.

They have issues, namely their lack of post scoring and their massive drop off from last year, sure, but unlike the others their problems seem minor. At least they have young talent that has proven it can work together.

New York is just a bad team. Getting their talent to work together is like trying to put together a jigsaw puzzle when you have pieces from 3 different sets. It's no wonder they're bad, 2 or 3 of their best players are bench guys and they start two ridiculously redundant big men.

Miami's in a world of hurt. I feel bad for that team and its fans. While they have talent, most if it is aging fast or hurt, so no surprise that they're playing absolutely terrible ball. Given Shaq's age and their history of injuries things could be looking grim very soon. I wonder how long before they sit Wade for the season and pull a Spurs-esque tankjob.. Imagine a lineup of Chris Quinn/Daequan Cook/Ricky D/Joel Anthony/Mark Blount with Earl Barron, Alexander Johnson and Luke Jackson off the bench. Yikes!

I still think Chicago will make the playoffs.

The Bulls may be in better shape than we are, but they have problems. Ben Wallace costs a fortune and has looked asleep when I've watched them, Hinrich has regressed, Gordon can't guard anyone, Tyrus Thomas looks lost, and Deng is said to have been the ringleader in getting rid of Skiles. If this is true, they will have that much more difficult a time signing him to an extension for the kind of money he's expecting.

I'm just mad that they said they were going to talk about us and then they didn't on coast to caost. That's messed up.

there you go. that's the answer. given all the expectations the teams that have been mentioned have had we're not as bad as some others. heck the bulls have been considered an elite team in the east
