Al Jefferson appreciation thread

This guy has heart. He has been doing his thing for this team the whole year, and he never gives up.
I think it's time for us to give our appreciation to Al who is becoming a big star right before our eyes.
Here is a quote from Ed Pinckney:
It's not even a matter of 'if' Al Jefferson gets that part of his game. He's so efficient in the paint, if he can develop more of a pick-and-pop move, he'll be impossible to defend. Al's going to get that. He works on it. It's something he wants. He has accomplished a lot in a very short time. I'm telling you, I shake my head a lot of nights. He has ridiculous instincts. Ridiculous.
Show your love for Big Al!!

great player. unfortunately seems destined to have the same fate as Shareef Abdur Rahim. playing with nothing but losing teams and losing the appreciation of your talent to people like rajon rondo. I think he's the most likely player in the league to punch a ref for a career of getting no calls in his favor. He's gonna snap.
great player.

Can't say enough about a kid willing to sign a contract like he did on a team that he knew would be terrible. I really hope we don't pull a KG here and fail to surround him with worthwhile talent, because he seems like a really good kid who's obviously a hell of a ball player.
I really like that quote too. His touch around the hoop is incredible. It's questionable what kind of overall defensive and passing abilities he'll develop, but his back to the basket scoring and rebounding abilities are already incredible. Trading KG sucked, but we could have done far worse than Al as a piece to build around.

Hes gonna be a top ten player at some point in his career, somewhere around the same level as Brand and Boozer

He is nasty. I just think his game is the best low post game in the L. He's da man.

He did great against Tim Duncan the other night, I could see the frustration that Duncan had every time Jefferson used sheer determination to put in a basket. I really REALLY like this guy
There was absolutely no better package we could have gotten for KG at the time we traded him. Im not even sure there was ever a better one at anytime.

the way duncan was looking after al made an impossible shot diving under the rim and putting the ball next to duncan's hands when he almost rejected the shot was soooo priceless

That was a great moment. Timmy's hands completely blocked off any entrance to the basket and Big Al STILL managed to get it up and over his outstretched arms. BEAUTIFUL!!!

Man, he was ridiculous for a while...didn't we have a Troy Hudson appreciation thread for a while, too?
I think this one is much more deserving.

Its January again. He had 27 on 13-for-16 shooting last game.
There Will Be Blount!

This one is deserved.
I still don't mind Blount. A little overpaid, but in the right system I think he can contribute.

I didn't want to imply that this thread is undeserved... no way I'd think that
