Just an idea for trading down

Post#1 » by collin_k41 » Sun Jan 20, 2008 1:48 am

Let's say we get the #1 pick. Kevin Durant and Michael Beasley as i've heard are best buds. While watching the KSU Texas A&M game i saw someone from the sonics organization(GM i think). Let's say the sonics get about the #4 pick. What would we want from the sonics to swap positions in the draft.

Just an idea but i would think we'd trade our #1 for their #4 + Jeff Green then we draft Deandre Jordan with the #4. I like it.

No way can I see the Sonics giving up Jeff Green and the 4 for #1. Besides that is if Beasley can even play the 4 cause the Sonics need a definte answer that Beasley can play PF before trading to get him

Wouldn't we already have a SF in Brewer? Where would Brewer or Green play? Green can only play SF. Brewer could play SG in a pinch but with his poor ball-handling skills I think he's more suited to play SF.

I think the idea is a bit far-fetched. I don't think the Sonics will trade the #4 (which could be Jordan) and Jeff Green for Michael Beasely, just to appease Durant. Its not like Durant is unhappy in Seattle.

Brewer's been playing SG the last 2-3 weeks.

I don't want a team with Beasley and Durant in our same division. No way I do this.

I could see that trade happening, because they most likely are not gonna leave Durant at the 2 in the future....Beasley is a 3-4, Durant is a 3...so Green has no place to play...

The more likely scenario is that Presti was looking at DeAndre Jordan.

I think Seattle would rather have Rose. They'd probably be happy with Hibbert too, Green's college teammate.

I was thinking of what team fits Beasley. Someone suggested the Warriors and I think that would be a good fit.

Would we consider a package of

Andris or Ells S/T+Wright+future 1st

for

Jaric+pick for Beasley.

Would you consider it?

dunno about wright but biedrins is enticing enough. ellis is a no go for me. I haven't seen wright play so I'm reading an article on him at nbadraft.net (that was the worse of DX and DN right?) but since they say he's a pf I actually don't think we need him. if you think he's capable of playing the 3 I might reconsider this deal but if he's not it's basically beasly for biedrins talentwise and that's not what I'd want to give up

Ells would make a sexy 3 guard rotation with Foye and Shad.

Wright is just a prospect

Biedrins would fit great next to al.

Just athought.
