Congrats to big Al. He's been doing his part all season but the Wolves players can't expect him to have to get half the team's rebounds very often in order for them to win games. I think one day if Minnesota can keep Big Al he will surpass KG's productivity in Minnesota. I haven't compared their stat history but I would think big Al is better now than KG was with the same number of years in the league.

Big Al is in his fourth NBA season. KG's 4th season was the shortened 50 game season of 1998-99 in which KG played 47 of the 50 games compared to Al who has played in 43 of 43 games this season. KG played 1.5 minutes more per game in his 4th season but Big Al has better stats in at least half if not more of the stat categories and they are actually tied up in free throw percentage with each make 70.4% of their free throws in their fourth season.
Al has 0.00% three point percentage 0 of 10 in four years (probably mostly bail outs). KG only had a 26% average in 3pt percentage in his first four years and he maybe shouldn't have shot as many as he did with that kind of percentage. The stats below are for the fourth season only for each player.

I assume all 10 of Al's 3's were bail outs, but he's getting close to that much range on the baseline, he's been money from 15-16 feet the last few weeks.

unless we get a rebounding big anytime soon I don't think I'd want to see big al shooting from more than 15 feet away. I kinda like him hitting 15 footers but we need someone to grab the rebound if should miss them
