A poem by Rashad about his hero.

Post#1 » by dunkonu21 » Tue Jan 29, 2008 3:22 am

he came to me with open arms, like a hawk embracing his young,

and he feed me food out his mouth but I was starving for knowledge.

the type of knowledge that cant be feed by hand or voice, but by heart.

so when he spoke he touched my soul, and my soul would smack me if I didn't listen

the words he spoke weren't for the ears to hear.

because his words were real, its hard to hear the truth when lies are so loud.

I put my earphones on so I can hear nothing and see everything.

lies could never steal my attention when he.......

he.........spoke.

The eyes never lie. and when he spoke he wore no glasses.

he wanted me to see the truth, which was? that everyone wears glasses to protect lies,

truth? glasses? lies?

sounds like earth, sounds like humans, sounds like America.

but if that's so where is he from? not from here, he has no glasses!

there was a ora, a light, a truth, about him.

special? never. different? maybe. human? impossible. so I asked him one question to expect one answer

when you walk and talk and teach how come everyone can stare at your light, your aura, your truth?

because we are the same.

Why would you say that...I contend that he is about on the same footing as Corey Brewer for probability to stick around this team...He is a core member of this team...Do you know something that we don't?

Trade. I have read a couple places from a couple respected posters who do have sources saying there will be a trade made by the deadline and we would be getting a 1st round pick. 1 guy did not have names but the other mentioned McCants is the one being shopped.

I find that hard to believe to be honest...I see Rashad having a very bright future and I don't see how the Wolves could justify trading him for a random 1st round pick...

Plus I think Gerald Green could possibly net us a 1st, along with Craig Smith who has some solid value.

Posters are not sources, posters have sources and when it comes to MN sources I will put mine against their sources anyday. And as of now there is nothing on the table for Shad. He is not being shopped. I sent a text and a guy called back and laughed. Shad is not being shopped.

What are your sources? Feel free to PM me. If you read it from a poster you can link us.

I don't see them giving up on McCants for a mid first rounder. He's played very well at times, and is basically only in his second full season as everyone knows. The only way you trade off McCants, Foye or Brewer is because your getting back a nice pick and an expiring when we combine one of those guys like Jaric. The problem for other teams acquiring our guys via trade will be, each season our financial troubles evaporate quick. Walker and Jaric will have value next season and the one after because they become expirings themselves. AJ, Foye, McCants, and Brewer shouldn't be touched. Telly and Gomes should be brough back if the price is according to the market and not way over like we always do. Smith and of course Green become the odd men out....I would shop them, otherwise I would sit back and wait for people to call us. Unless an unbelievable offer comes through, there shouldn't be any reason for a move. I will say that we do need to do something about our Center or lack there of. If Smith and Green could nab us a decent young project big, I'd be for it, but I'm guessing the Wolves will wait and try to solve that problem this summer.

I really like McCants but a McCants/Telfair (maybe the boston pick) for Lowry/1st would be interesting. It would allow us to pick bpa with our pick because we could fit in a player at any spot besides pf. Then we could fill another need with the Mem. pick.

Is that not the same rube chat guy who had a "offficial Diaw trade" a while ago?

You cannot cite rubechat as authority.

The espn page is the guy guessing what players we could move for a 1st. Not an insight rumor.

I am not saying it will not happen. Sources only know some of the activities of a team, and there are numerous "done deal" trades that fall through, as well as trades that happen out of the blue. What I am saying is that right now there is no legit whisper of a Rashad deal out there.
