OT: Staying Warm?

Everyone staying warm? Here in Marshall, it is 4 below. Add in the 25+ mph wind and you have a wind chill of 30 below.
I hear up north in C.lupus' area, wind child will get as low as 50 below.
In revs general area, I heard its like whiteout conditions. I-35 is closed from Albert Lea to Owatonna

It is freezing here in Brainerd. Someone at the school told me it was -20 and with the wind it was below -30. A 60 degree change from yesterday, when it felt like summer. Or atleast spring.

It's starting to get damn cold here. I'm down by the MN Zoo area. I had meetings all over the metro today for work and it just kept getting worse everytime I'd get out of the car.

I was going to class today and my beard would freeze within a minute. I could feel mini icicles forming. It was crazy! I said screw my late class, I don't want to be in downtown St. Paul waiting for a bus in this. I didn't come prepared like I should have.

I've had that happen many times. When I was in Milwaukee the pool that I swam at was about a mile away from my apartment, so I'd hoof it over there 4 or 5 times a week. On the way back I'd just have this giant shaggy icicle attached to my face. Really odd feeling.

Not to bad in the TC, still havent turned my heat above 60 degrees but its prolly about that time to kick it up a couple notches

I always have my thermostat set at 50. Since I am on the third floor the heat rises and it is 70 most of the time. The past few days I have been tempted to turn it up tho.

LOL, I stayed home yesterday, too (mainly so my dog wouldn't freeze outside). I had my heat set at 70 (which is high for me) but it never got above 63 in the house because of the wind. I have a fairly tight house, too.

I remember those days. We had an old house modified into 3 aparments. Our landlord put a plastic cover over the thermostat to keep it at something like 65 and the heater was old so we got even less than 65 degrees. He paid the heating bill. We found a couple tiny slats on the cover, stuck a butterknife in and put that thing in the high 70s.

Haha thats sweet, my bitch of a landlord makes me pay the heat, so were gonna try to have the pipes freeze and then see what they say.

Is there any way to get out of lease early? I will not be living in my apartment for the last 3 months of the lease. Is there some type of fee you can pay to leave early? If I owned the building I would do it since they can just rent the place out once I move.

My frickin diesel gelled up on me sitting out in the parking lot today. Now I'm stuck at work until my car warms up.
