I just thought it would be nice to keep track of our boy Richard in the D-League. Here are the results for his first game:

I dont think he will be with us next season but i hope he is able to sign with another team, hes seems like a player that could help a team

^Why do you think the team would let him go? I hope he's back but if he's not then I wish him the best.

I think he could be a good center for us which would move all back to the PF position....OR he could back up cookie or al at the 4 or 5....unless we can get somebody significantly better I woulod keep him.....Rat messed up any chance of staying after getting hurt again....if he stayed healthy all season and keep up with the block campain he had I'm sure the wolves would have considered keeping him...

I think at worst, Richard can at least take Al's leftover minutes (10-12mpg). He will be a decent back up C. He just seems to be a little foul happy. Obviously he won't be good offensively for anything but hustle points, but he is a tough kid and seems to be able to rebound at decent rate and block a shot or two.

With Al, Smith and piossibly Beasly, where does Richard get playing time, hes good enough to be a starting centre, i guess we could keep him to beat up on second string centres?

I can't wait to read what MnWi has to say about richard's play...

Hes a guy who will always perrom wellin the D leauge where he can use his extra bulk and size to bully guys like he would have at florida.

We shouldnt overrrate our own players. Its D-League, off course he can be a solid player in D League, but lets not forget that we used to have Bracey Wright who dominated D League in scoring and ended up playing overseas.

Offer him to ORL for a Top 20 protected 1st or the rights to Fran Vazquez. The ORL fanboard loves him because they remember him from Florida, and they could certainly use his considerable size,

I'm just a little confused. Maybe you (Vindicater) meant he's NOT good enough to be a starting center??? I'm not trying to be nasty, just asking.

Without turning this into a trade idea thread, I don't think ORL would give up a first for Richard, shrink, but I think Redick wants out of ORL so maybe Richard and G. Green for Redick. I'd give it a shot.

And to clarify, I don't think too highly of Richard. I think he'll be a decent role player in limited minutes, but I hope from the quotes above that some of you don't think I'm insinuating he'll be good because there is a thread on him and I'm following his stats (which happen to be pretty good so far). I don't think anyone is overrating him here.

Again, I didn't see the game, but if anyone did, it would be nice to know how he played.

only one foul in 24 minutes! That's quite an improvement.

Good to see Richard dominating D-League ball.

I already knew he would be snagging rebounds; he has a great technique and wide body that helped him get boards in limited minutes in games that he played.

He'll be more experienced when we call him up and will fill that backup C role nicely.

He's only putting up 11.7 ppg in the D-League, but he's only playing 23 mpg...which is a little disheartening, maybe it's conditioning or maybe they didn't just want to instantly bench whatever other big men that were playing before Richard came. He's rebounding at an incredible rate for that amount of minutes, though. I'd like to see him put up some 20 point games. That would be nice.

Hes not really a scorer though, hes a garbage man
