How good is he going to be? The obvious answer is DOMINANT, but just how DOMINANT? What will his final stats be this season and what will they be at the peak of his career?

I thinking this season he will end up with 23 ppg and 13 rpg. At his prime (when he polishes his left hand, which will add an INCREDIBLE new dynamic, plus his jump shot, while already pretty nice will only get nicer) I'm guessing 26.5 ppg and 13.5 rpg. He will have improved more than those stats indicate, but so will the players around him, so it will be a better 26.5 ppg and 13.5 rpg.

IMO:

27.8/13/3.1/2.2blocks/1.5steals on 52% FG and 80% from the FT in his prime.

This season, I see him getting one or two more points a game and still hovering around his current 12.3 rebounding average.

22.1/12.3/1.6/1.0steals/1.8blocks on 50% FG and 73% FT

He's already averaging 21.5 ppg, so that would only be adding about a half a ppg rather than 2 ppg, which is why I went with 23. I don't see Al averaging that many blocks per game, though. I think he'll probably stay around one and a half.

23.5/13 sounds good for the rest of the season. I'm hesitant to offer any further predictions, especially gross explosions up to 27 points. Remember, when Duncan became a better player, his numbers went down. I think you can say the same thing about a lot of other players.

which i think coincides with the team getting better. The better players you have surrounding you the less need there is for you to take over every game. Duncan is a good example, but i think KG is a better example of a player who went from a weak supporting cast to a strong cast and an MVP year. His numbers are down yet he is the concensus favorite for MVP.

I think Al Jeff will follow that, assuming he has a strong supporting cast. Without the block numbers, I dont see any reason why he cant be Tim Duncan or Kevin Garnett...numbers wise.

KG's numbers went up for his MVP. Career highs in PPG, FGA, RPG, and BPG. And Duncan's been on a good team his whole career.

He's legit. Has KG ever had a scoring tear that Big Al is on?

I mean any game, youd expect Big Al to get 30 or more now.

KG was like once or twice a month hed get over 30. At 23, Big Al is going to be legit.

He means this year for KG. He seems to be, at least at this point, the most likely pick for MVP this year and his numbers are much lower than what they have been in years past.

since KG is not playing lately his chances to become MVP go down. if the lakers get a top3 seed (which is quite possible now) I think kobe has a legit shot at the mvp title

I guess i was a little vague with my timeframes(work sometimes interferes with quality posts, haha)

I agree that duncan has always been on a good team but that is what i am talking about, the spurs rest him often, he is not one of the league leaders in minutes each year, he isnt asked to exhert himself every game. Close games is where Duncan is getting his normal minutes and statlines. The blowouts are games where duncan scores 15 points and 8 reb's in about 30 minutes. KG has been the same way too this year.

That is the ultimate goal i think for jefferson. If we surround him with a good group of players than he will settle into the duncan and garnett statline range. If we cant surround him with consistent players, than his numbers will go up because he has to have big nights every night for us to have a chance at a win.

Yeah, but NECESSARILY happen with good big men on good teams...I mean what kind of sick numbers did Shaq put up for years? He played a LOT of minutes on that dynasty Lakers squad, too.
