Gives you guys a defensive center next to Al, and you drop Jaric.

Charlie V - meh. I don't see him as a long-term fit here but his contract is short.
I have to admit, I don't know much about Tucker but he's from Wisconsin so deeney0 should be happy.
I think Gomes, Green, and Jaric would be a good fit in PHX. I really like Gomes and would love to keep him but I think I would still do this. We get out from under Jaric and get a defensive center in return.

Jaric for a center isn't bad so I like that.
Tucker for Green is a plus.
Gomes for CV is tough. I guess the only real benefit would be if we thought we don't have a chance at resigning Gomes or he's going to be MLE money to keep then CV is a cheaper replacement at combo forward. While CV has more upside, Gomes seems more consistent.
It's a fair deal. If Phoenix was willing to include their 1st in the deal for a few 2nd rounders from us, since this is a cap related move for Phoenix, I'd probably go for it.

I'd rather keep Gomes.

I'd rather just try to get a low first round pick for Green. I don't think it's completely out of the question at this point, but McHale would probably actually have to work the phones (which may be completely out of the question).
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

I have to say, I can't believe wolves posters aren't jumping all over this.
1 for 1, it's great.
Tucker for Green; I take that easily. Tucker is a defensive player. Another young player, but runs a year longer, won't have to sign immidiately, I also assume he has an option as well.
Villanueva for Gomes; reluctantly, but yes. CV can score the same way Gomes can, and he is also a cheap player that runs a year longer. Meaning more time to decide on rotation and make up of the team. By the time he is a FA, we should fully know whether we need to keep him or not.
Jaric for Gadz: Also in a Heart beat. 2 years ago, I know I wasn't the only one on these boards that wanted to bring Gadz to Minny. A couple big man drafts later, and he is stuffed on the bench. Doesn't mean he isn't a good C. Even if he does end up being our backup because we find or draft a better C. He is the same length as Jaric, it clears up the back court, and He is a better backup than Doleac, Mad Dogg, or Richard.
I'd do this deal no question. My only concern is that Milwaukee is getting hosed. Diaw sucks....royally.

"Dude, all I am saying is we already have a starting RB, his name is Chester Taylor. Besides AP isn't that good anyways. I hope we draft McFadden." --Me after he broke the record.

I don't think its unfair, but I'm with bruceallen and would not do this.
Jaric > Gadzuric .. maybe Jaric >> Gadzuric. Jaric is our #3 guy in win shares, and a starter. Gadzuric is a tall guy who tries hard, but he's just not a very good basketball player. Every week, we get about 2-3 requests about Jaric on the trade board from fans of other teams. I bet Gadzuric hasn't gotten 2-3 requests this season. If we have to be stuck with a Jaric-sized contract, I prefer its for a useful guy. There are too many other options out there for a center next year.
Also, note here that MIN is losing 10 PPG, 2 RPG, and 5.5 APG. Next season we add a little salary, and lose two roster spots. I would want more incentive.
Lastly, why is MIN in this deal? Of course, I can see how Jaric, Green and Gomes would all do well in PHO's system. However, if Gadzuric can do anything, its run, so wouldn't he fit best on the Suns? Charlie V is a PF who thinks he's a SF, and he wants to run and score -- sounds like a PHO type of player too.
I know I sound critical, but the thinking behind this trade is very good. It attempts to move players onto teams where they can produce. The PHO and MIL players definitely need a change in scenery. I'm not so sure that's true about the MIN guys.
