Anyone think there is a chance Witt decides to bounce?
coach Randy Wittman, who was a popular player for the Hoosiers, surely will get mentioned as a candidate. A little birdie says Wittman has two years after this season on his Wolves contract but that the last season is his option, not the team's.

I think he'd be better in college. Wonder how his recruiting skills are....

Wittman and Gerald Green ( 4 years in college might make him a player) for Eric Gordon be acceptable to you shrink?

Let us not joke to much. Our team right now is basically a college team. Witt would make a very good college coach. My understanding is he did not want the wolves head job, but liked the back up and perhaps college better. Interesting idea.

Losing Randy Wittman would be a terrible blow to the Minnesota Timberwolves organization. I hope and pray he can remain with the team and help our young core of players develop. Throughout his career, Wittman has shown that he is a tough coach and a born winner. He has proven time and time again that he is the man for this job; almost as though a higher-calling brought him here. Randy Wittman was born to coach this team.

Bob Knight back to Indiana. It's too hilarious not to happen.

F that, Bob Knight to Minnesota TWolves. I would pay to see that. I bet he'd choke out half the players the first day on the job. It'd be hilarious to see him scream at people like Doleac, Toine, and Theo. Haha, I can't imagine what he'd do to Gerald Green and Corey Brewer. Oh man, would that not be the greatest hire ever!

Great post JBoog and I agree 100%. I'd buy season tickets just to see the show.

July 31st, 2007? Although one could argue the seeds were sown August 12th, 2005.

If Wittman leaves I wonder who would bring in. Probably some bum trying to stay warm under the Target Center heating vents. As long as he will take less than 100K a year.

I don't think anyone would be brought it. Sichting (or much less likely, J.B.) would be promoted from within.

Force McHale to do it .. the most successful coach in Wolves history, and with the most dysfunctional group!
Seriously though, I think when your coach is also part of your front office, and has the power to send you and your family to Memphis, a player is more likely to get back on defense.

In all honesty I like J.B. Im not sure he will ever get a shot and even if he does, he may not succeed, but hell I actually want him to get a shot someday.

Randy Wittman is a Joke, I would take Dwayne Casey any day of the week over him, and I hated Casey. Born a winner give me a break, maybe a winner at cribbage but not coaching an NBA team. He is not the guy to rebuild an organization around. And I tell you what I might have renewed my season tix had the wolves not chosen wittman!
