I think if he feels so sad about it, then why doesn't he ask to be waived and go play for the phoenix suns or something rather than offending a franchise and pretending his value is higher than it truly is.

That is not the point. It all depends on what we consider value for the buyout. Is walker motiviated to get out of his contract, ala he will buy-out for small amounts, or is he still looking for paydirt and would not accept a similar offer to what Howard got.

personally, I think we draft well, re-sign well and use walker's contract to get a solid vet at a trouble spot.

btw, as far as I know you can post as much of a blog as you want, as long as you link. Being that it is not copywritten.

I'm not mad at the guy for wanting out. If you feel like you can play and contribute and you are not being allowed to do so then you have a right to feel upset. As long as he isn't bringing the locker room down and hurting the team he can be as upset as he wants, he's entitled to it.

Sid's old, he doesn't know what he's writing. Taylor probably said that Walker wanted close to his full contract (which is the norm).

Walker had indicated that didn't want to give up any money.

I agree that his contract is the ridiculous part. Toine is maybe worth the veteran minimum or a CBA maximum. And yes, there is no CBA.

this wasn't the quote I was looking for but it gives the idea that even he knows what he was asking for was highly unlikely to come about.

The Wolves had no reason to buy him out unless he was willing to give up most of the money in his contract. His contract is a tradeable asset and the only reason to buy him out would be if he was willing to take so little that the Wolves would have had cap room this season. If Walker wants to play so much he should have taken it.

walker missed getting wasted at opium and prive in south beach.. even if the heat loses every night, he has south beach to make him feel all better...
